We arrived to a wonderful Beautiful Hotel. So easy to park the car and feel straight away relaxed. We ate upstairs in the evening and made a good choice beautiful room upstairs in the mezzanine. The food was perfect the price very good for food and drinks being Hall & Woodhouse. It was my Husbands Birthday and very frosty this year and cold. The Hotel was absolutely so warm and cosy we didn't need to venture out due to everything you need. Luxury toiletries and towels with a bath did it for me, top quality and the room was gorgeous even the radio on slightly to chill you out, We have never been so relaxed at a Hotel amazing stay ;)
Dorchester is an interesting historic county town, and Poundbury is a a newly built model town designed by Prince (King) Charles on the west side of Dorchester. Poundbury has beautiful architecture, it is quiet and well-ordered.
A charming and very historic town. Great location for exploring the beautiful Dorset countryside. Many excellent attractions in the town and within a short drive and some lovely characterful hostelries and restaurants.
We were lucky with the weather. We went into the town a couple of times, popped into a few shops, a cafe, did a walk along the River Frome and went to the Tutankhamen exhibition. It was a good centre for exploring other parts of Dorset. We also visited Thomas Hardy’s birthplace and were given an interesting tour (National Trust- book beforehand!)
Dorchester is a history buff's idea of a great destination. Wow! Amazing museums, historic sites, everything about Thomas Hardy, the medieval market town, the Roman villa, the tunnels, the smuggling, the priest holes, great food, parks, and train service. Just a short ride to Weymouth and the beautiful beach of Durdle Door in West Lulworth Cove.
The apartment was lovely. It was spacious, clean and in a great location. Arrival and parking was easy, we met Jacqui so that was nice and reassuring. I would recommend this as a place to stay. Thank you

The location of Clematis House was perfect for us, in a very pretty village, just a few minutes from Dorchester and a superb base for seeing Dorset. The house was extremely clean and comfortable and was very well equipped to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The information booklet was comprehensive and contained all the information that we required. The property has a beautiful courtyard garden and is very quiet and peaceful. The welcome tray from the owners was much appreciated.

We stayed in one of the family rooms which was very spacious. There were two rooms, one with a double and the other two singles. It was clean, with crisp white sheets and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious as well as the food in the evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we loved the location in a pretty village, lovely countryside but also a stones through from Dorchester. Thoroughly recommend!
Dorchester
The hotel was very welcoming and staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was situated very centrally, everything was in good walking distance, perfect location. The room was stunning and exceeded the photos online. It was especially nice to have working windows (plenty of fresh air) so that we could regulate the temperature of the room. The bed and bedding were perfect and we both had a wonderful nights sleep.
Location was very good. Breakfast was good. The weather was very poor so we stayed in the hotel for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the menu. We had expected a traditional, somewhat boring menu, but the menu was modern and the food quality was excellent. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

This hotel is not actually in Dorchester town - it's close by but in the countryside, which is nice. Pleasant enough, staff were nice and professional and all very clean and tidy.
