Located in Bridport, just 5 minutes’ drive from the coast, this 3-star hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Weymouth can be reached in 30 minutes by car. We were super impressed at the attention to detail at this gorgeous hotel. They really have thought of everything!!! The exceptional service we received from Marcus and Sarah, and also Sue, was spot on. They all made our stay that extra special with the personal touches. We had stayed here many years ago, but it is clear that (the relatively new owners) Marcus and Sarah are really passionate about what they do, and it shows! From our original booking, to our arrival date and the stay itself, was all completely seamless. We enjoyed a light bite to eat on our arrival night which was absolutely gorgeous, and loved the honesty bar tab, a great way to feel at home. The interior design was classic and timeless, and made you feel immediately at home (in a luxurious but comfortable way!). We will definitely stay here again and again, and would highly recommend Bridge House Hotel to all - you will not be disappointed! :) Thank you Marcus, Sarah and Sue.

It is in a quiet setting, rural Dorset is all around, coast about 45mins. There are great eating places in the vicinity & Paul has good recommendations. He is a very good host, booking our first night's table. Loved the rustic charm of the pubs. The Quiet Woman is a real find.
The coastal town has really upgraded it restaurants and its quaint streets make a delightful place to visit. It is central for Dorset visits and close to Devon. Abbotsbury and West Bay ( Broadchurch filming) are musts to visit. Eat at the French Lieutenant and both Italian restaurants as they are reasonably priced but above average food.
An old Dorset market town which has sensibly resisted the egregious efforts of developers. There are some good restaurants and some lovely old buildings.but not much entertainment if you aren't visiting friends. The Green Man was my pub of choice.
Cracking place to go off season. A bit too busy for me in mid summer. Well placed for nearby visits to nearby Wimborne Minster, The Purbeck Hills and Corfu Catle, Badbury Rings and Kingston Lacey House, a trip across the chain ferry at Sandbanks to the best beach in Dorset at Studland, (It is a naturist beach further down but your on holiday so when in Rome......). Portsmouth (HMS Victory and the Mary R) are a day trip away. The New Forest, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World. The list is only limited by the type of holiday you want. Bournemouth as a holiday centre allows access to it all.
Loved the beautiful architecture in the town, the range of shops, ease of access, central location for the Badger Brewery and Royal Signals Museum. Stayed here after walking the Lawrence Trail and visiting Bovington Tank Museum - the Crown Hotel was the perfect end to a perfect day. I'd now stay here and commute to any attraction in Dorset and the surrounding counties. The only negative thing was a couple of guys whose fight spilled out of a pub and into the street - but you can get that anywhere, and the Police appeared and dealt with the matter so quickly it was almost a blink and miss it incident. Would definitely recommend the food at The Crown Hotel and will look forward to going back and exploring Blandford further.
Interesting market town with some nice shops as well as the usual chains and a weekly market. good base for discovering West Dorset. Sherbourne and Shaftesbury in land as well as Lyme Regis and Weymouth are all within easy reach. The road to Weymouth has some spectacular views of Chesil Beach.
Weymouth is a pretty seaside town along the Dorset coastline with plenty to offer. It doesn't get too overpopulated with tourists making for a relaxing destination to stay and relax.
Bridport is central to some great accesses to the coast, beaches and towns in Dorset. One of our favourite places is Westbay with its long beach in front of the cliffs ideal for walking your dogs. Westbay has plenty of cafes to enjoy cups of tea, the fish and chip shop opposite the Caravan park is a real joy. The Hunters Lodge out on the A35, about 15/20 minutes away from Bridport is worth a visit. Also the Hive café on Hive Beach is also good if you fancy seafood dishes.
Visit Sherborne Abbey ( best in Dorset) Visit Sherborne New castle Interesting Shops and Pubs Many coffee and tea shops Good car parks Main line train station on Waterloo to Exeter line
Weymouth is a place where anyone of any age could have a wonderful holiday. There is an excellent bus service running along the front and also to places of interest in Dorset. The promenade is flat allongside the clean, safe beach. The bay is very shallow so the sea is safe for children. There are lovely restaurants, a great shopping area and harbour. You will find !it's to do to suit all ages
Dorchester
Our room was vast and really comfortable. An excellent choice of breakfasts served piping hot. We chose to eat at the hotel each evening in the bar. Again the food was excellent. We found the location ideal for getting out and about to various places in Dorset.
The room is very comfortable. The hotel is near of everything you need. The ladies at reception are very helpful, as well the housekeepers. This hotel is a very good and value relationship.
Room very beauty, clean and snug.
Location, views and age of the hotel.
Overall every thing was very satisfying.
The property was close to the beach which made it a perfect location for a getaway. The ambience and the pleasant friendly and efficient staff made the break a really relaxing stay.
it is all good and we always stay there :)
Very good breakfast Very clean room Hot water Good COVID safety measures in situ
Loved all of it even the old styling plus how close to everything and staff Lovely
Was very happy with our breakfast! All three of the children were able to pick something out to eat. Our room was very spacious too.
A very modern hotel. Room was a great size & very clean.
This hotel is set in the best location in Sandbanks, it’s right at the end of the beach and even in a busy day that part of the beach is quiet. Amazing views, Amazing staff, Food was excellent. I just can’t fault it and felt like we were abroad. Just stunning!
Despite the age of the hotel it was kept immaculately clean.
The swimming pool was nice and warm. Good value for money. Food good. Staff very competent and friendly. Entertainment good. Room was warm and clean. Beds comfy. The restaurant was well run and we had plenty of food
Very friendly and helpful staff:)
The whole experience was great from check in to check out
Excellent location and great value for money.
Where do i start?.... Peaceful, tranquil house in a beautiful location which has been lovingly restored. The attention to detail is wonderful, big fluffy towels, home made biscuits with plenty of tea/coffee (and fresh milk) in every room. The breakfasts are amazing with home made bread and locally sourced produce. Every room is different and decorated beautifully, i loved everything about it.
The uniqueness and charm of the farm, the amazingly friendly owners and the wonderful shepherds hut. The hut had superb views and was rustically beautiful with touches of perfect luxury.
