An attractive town. Friendly and helpful people. Good range of shops for a small town. I used BOOTS opticians in the market square and they quickly fixed a broken lens in my glasses. Good central car parks and busses. All flat and level. I would certainly avoid staying at the DROVERS INN (see my very negative review) but I would visit Kingston Lacy (National Trust) and Pamphill Dairy, a classic English tea shop with cakes!

We arrived late about 10pm & checked in the Kings Head which was excellent but the best surprise was in the morning waking up to a vibrant village with a great coffee culture on the square which was buzzing by the time we took a walk around the town.It was much more than your typical quintessential Dorset town as it had a modern feel with the aged old buildings, I would of liked to of spent more time there & in fact I’m down that way tomorrow & will make an effort to visit again & the kings head as was great value for a fillet steak at £14 with all the trimmings!

Wimbourne is a lovely small town with interesting shops and a beautiful Church. It has lots going on including a theatre and art gallery and some little cafes and restaurants. A brilliant base to explore local countryside as well

This is the most charming little place and we love it here. The people are so friendly everywhere you go. It’s all within walking distance so no driving of an evening to eat/drink out. It’s a great location to drive out to visit other places. Highly recommend the riverside cafe for the most amazing breakfast and coffee and the cheapest prices. The Oddfellas pub is cosy and so friendly. Ten Bottles wine bar is really stocked well with great wines and lovely friendly staff. Rhimjims is the best curry house in the town!

This is a beautiful market town, very old and the history of the Minster and surroundings, fascinating. Good shops, excellent range of eating places and pubs. Lovely walk along the river to craft workshops at Walford mill. Near to National Trust property Kingston Lacy and Knoll Gardens.

Property we stayed at was in perfect location to walk into centre of Wimborne - about 10 mins to centre. Liked Wimborne very much. Loved all the little alleys and unexpected squares that we kept on discovering. Nice assortment of shops - lots of quality small retailers and not too many normal high street shops. Ate at selection of places and was quite satisfied. Easy town to walk around and to find way around as Minster is visible from most locations you can easily get your bearings.
