Wareham is a very peasant peaceful town.
Wareham is a very peasant peaceful town. It is well suited for travel to Poole, Bournemouth, Swanage and the Jurassic coast to Weymouth.
Good pubs with good pub food. A river runs through it and offers many pleasant walks.

We primarily stayed in Wareham to visit the Purbeck...
We primarily stayed in Wareham to visit the Purbeck International Chamber Music Festival. This was an amazing festival of the highest standard.
Waregam is close to the wonderful durassic coast. Plenty of wonderful walks.

Lovely little country town with a beautiful river and...
Lovely little country town with a beautiful river and interesting shops in the main street. Lovely places to eat - plenty of pubs and cafes. By the river you can hire paddle boards and kayaks and people were swimming too. We were there on a Saturday in August so it was very busy of course and parking was limited. All in all, a lovely place to visit.

Historic town with some nice pubs, cafe & restaurants. Good walks from the town notably on the NT marshes especially if you are a twitcher.
Avoid the Kings Arms pub. Shuts early and unhelpful miserable staff. There are at least 4 others to try.

Lovely characterful town in easy reach of many great places...
Lovely characterful town in easy reach of many great places to visit by bus, train or car and some very pleasant walks around the town walls and along the rivers. Good choices of eating places and even a small cinema.the Daruchini Indian restaurant is great. will come back to explore the area more.

Disappointed no toiletries as forgot to pack items and had to pop out. Difficult to get any soap out of dispenser.
Evening meal delicious.
Some cheese and ham would have been nice for continental breakfast

This Is a lovely picturesque property - A charming hotel that is authentic. It felt very quaint and homely. The staff were great and looked after us well. The breakfast which is a la carte (not buffet) was fantastic and we had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. We enjoyed drinks in the garden with the view of the river. The hotel is a 25 minute drive to the coast. We visited Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Old Harry Rocks.

The view from the bedroom window was a dream: the most serene beauty of any of Man's creations. The stone roofed stone houses around the central square, dwarfed down to a model village beneath the soaring mound of Castle Hill and the romantic ruins of the great fortress. Bring ear plugs, for the hotel is right beside a busy road.

This hotel is the perfect base for any stay in Dorset, great location with lots of nice shops around and easy to access most things. The parking just down the road wasn't an issue and always plenty of spaces. We stayed with our dog and felt very welcome in all areas :)

The location was perfect for our needs, just outside of Wareham. The apartment was really comfortable and well thought out. We had everything we needed. The bed and sofas were so good, easy to relax there.
