Sandrita's hostal is far beyond any hostal or B&B experience. I loved this cute house, Sandrita's and her partner hospitality and care for each and single guest's wellbeing, from hearthy breakfasts adjusted to any dietary restriction to customized travel tips. I met very nice group of people at this hostal and our shared evenings in the warm and cozy kitchen full of eucalyptus scents were like spending time with you friends and family, and will deeply stay in memory. One of the best hostels. Loved the cleanliness of the property, the lovely rooms, the spacious and well appointed kitchen, and the very friendly and helpful owners.

The breakfast was wonderful, many choices and scrambled eggs made fresh. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Its a cozy hotel with a great location and a restaurant next door. The beds were comfortable and we had a cozy covered outdoor patio off of our room.

Breakfast was prepared always just before we came down . We were always asked what time we wanted to have breakfast. We stayed over Newyear's eve and New years day. And they arranged for a delicious meals to be brought to the lodge for us during a time many restaurants were closed. Parking was in a gated area and very secure. they have cat and dogs that were very friendly, but were kept outside our entire stay. The owners kept in contact with us prior to arriving. I would go back here anytime!

This is, without a doubt, the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire traveling history, and I’ve visited over 50 countries! The house itself is stunning, filled with beautiful artwork in every corner, creating a warm and creative atmosphere. Everything is impeccably clean, and the location is perfect for exploring. But what made my experience truly unique and unforgettable was the host, Miguel. He is, if not the best, one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met in my life. Kind, hospitable, generous, kind-hearted, cheerful, and easygoing. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how amazing he is! Thanks to him, I learned so much about Chilean traditions, especially those of Chiloé, as well as its gastronomy and history. If I ever return to Chile (and I definitely will!), I’ll make sure to come back to Castro just to see Miguel again. This place isn’t just a hostel; it’s a home away from home, thanks to the incredible host. 100% recommended!

Cute cabin with a wood stove for heating. The wood stove worked very well and wood was restocked in the cabin each day. Beds are super cozy with lots of blankets to keep you warm. Great views of the bay. Enjoyed viewing the birds and the bay upon waking each morning. Great hot water shower without waiting for water to heat up. Need a car to get to this location but it is only a short drive to Castro. Nice and quiet area. Would have stayed here longer had my itinerary allowed.

Patricio has done everything to create a beautiful, welcoming place. Every detail is covered. His responsiveness and kindness eclipsed most other hosts. We loved our terrace, the fantastic shower (!) and a super breakfast, delivered to our room!

The place and views and bed and everything was just amazing. I think it was larger than most other rooms I've stayed in for the price range. I will most probably stay at this place again next time I'm visiting Castro, Chiloé.
