Rosa is an excellent hostess. She's very easy going and happy to help in any way. The apartment is cute and comfortable and in a quiet building. There's a coffee machine in the room (which I didn't use) and full access to the kitchen. Wifi worked well, as did the air conditioner in my room. However, because you can cover the window with electric blinds during the heat of the day to keep the room cool, I only used the a/c for a few minutes even on a very hot day. The bathroom is immaculate and the powerful shower system felt wonderful after long hot days of hiking. I chose to park on the street across from her building and was always able to find a parking spot. I chose her location based on the ease of getting to the places I was interested in such as hiking El Torcal, visiting Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas, hiking the Caminito del Rey and touring La Alhambra. All of these towns or activities were super easy to access from her place. It's a nice, friendly, clean and active neighborhood. People are out walking their dogs or teams are playing football (soccer) at the soccer grounds that you can see from the bedroom. A good supermarket is literally a one minute walk away. There are quite a few restaurants close by, too. Access to the old city and its attractions is about 8-10 minutes by car, 25-30 minutes by foot. I highly recommend Rosa and her apartment as a home base if you are staying in Antequera.

Location, location, location! We rented a car so being 40 minutes from Malaga, 1+10 from Cordoba and Granada, and 1+40 from Sevilla allowed us to visit all on separate days and easily make it back to the apartment without fearing long drives. The town of Antequera itself had plenty of sights to see, felt very safe, and was easy to navigate. Also enjoyed a great supermarket (Mercadona) a few blocks away. The apartment itself was very well equipped and the owner made it easy for us to do laundry while there, fix several meals, and simply put, was perfect for two of us, though with a second bedroom, we could easily have fit four.

The place is absolutely stunning. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s cozy and rustic and Inma helped us feel completely at home. We only stayed one night but got a welcome and hospitality as if we would be staying weeks.

This place is awesome! It is right in the center of the old town (a short walk up a residential side street), yet completely quiet and relaxing, with a stunning view of the Alcazaba (from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms). There was enough hot water to draw a full bath, which I very much appreciated and took shameful advantage of. There is a decadent amount of space in the apartment, the photos are an accurate depiction, and the town itself is delightful to explore. Plus, the hostess was very responsive and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay and wished it could have been longer!
