Arte de Cozina, hotel in Antequera

Featuring a restaurant and tapas bar, Arte de Cozina is located in Antequera. Set in the city center, in a XVII century building, this hotel offers free WiFi, and a shared lounge.

This is a well-kept, family-run accommodation in a central area of town. Staff were courteous and friendly. Private and public parking are available nearby. The hotel building itself is old but updated. There are local artifacts on display in common areas. The room was fine; everything worked well, including the air conditioning. The family also operates a restaurant and tapas bar. The tapas bar had interesting wine and vermouth offerings.

La Fuente del Sol Hotel & Spa, hotel in Antequera

This exclusive rural hotel is situated on the south slopes of the Sierra del Torcal of Antequera, where the natural aromas and silence are prominent.

Charming hotel a bit away from the town of Antequera but well worth the 30 min drive. Beautiful farmland around. Lovely area to be peaceful and quiet. But close to magnificent El Torcal for a day hike. Staff were all warm and extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us when we had car troubles. Breakfast was lovely and dinner was outstanding.

An interesting old town with narrow streets, many churches and museums, scores of restaurants and tapas bars and a friendly atmosphere. Access to Granada and Ronda are easy by train or car. El Torcal is a very interesting trip into the mountains. A good central location for southern Andalucia

Lots of historical buildings and churches. The view from the castle at the top of the hill is worth the climb and the beautiful church. Plenty of eating places. We loved Loulu’s Bistro for breakfast opposite our hotel.

Friendly Pueblo Blanco town that’s easy to move through on foot or in car. It’s a central location to so much in Andalucía within 2-3 hours in a car, so you can spend a day in busy hectic Seville or Cordoba and sleep in peaceful Antequera.

    Very friendly town.

Very friendly town. Recommend a guided tour to include the dolmens - we booked a combination tour of walking the town, visiting a chapel and a short ride in a 'micro bus' to the dolmens. Buy cakes and pastries from a convent. Spend an evening in Bar Lola next to Plaza Coso Viejo for excellent food, friendly service and great atmosphere. Antequera is an easy 45-minute drive from Málaga airport, so it's a great place to spend a couple of nights before heading off to explore Andalucía. Lots of free parking.

Antequera is a pretty town with a big church and castle. Also, you can visit dolmens (in the town) and El Torcal hiking area (nearby, some 20km maybe). The town seemed cozy during workdays and quite busy on Saturday with many people cruising the streets.

Antequera is a beautiful place with loads of churches and elaborate buildings. I could have done with another day here at least. I also never got to sample the food so I will definitely need to come back.

This place is great! 25 euro’s per room is the best value we have ever had in a hotel room. We arrived at the hotel about 11pm, checked in and then sat outside for a few drinks and a snack until 2 30am. Room was great and we fell asleep very quickly. The hotel serves food and drinks 24 hours a day. In the morning, after a long lie in, we had some amazing rolls and soft drinks before making or way to Seville.

The location of the hotel is brilliant - on a main street [but quiet] and opposite an attractive square. Lovely rooms - large and well appointed. The nicest hotel receptionist I've come across in a very long time - very friendly and her smile was infectious. I'd really recommend Antequera - off the beaten track but a lovely place.

Nice hotel a short walk from the city centre, but also a short walk from a large public car park. We had a beautiful view of the historic center from our room. Very nice view was also on the terrace leading to the pools. It was also nice that the minimar had two cokes, two beers and two waters available for free.

The room and car park was excellent but obviously it isn’t cheap. There are cheaper hotels in Antequera but most don’t have the car park option and if they have, normally their car park is a bit complicated In the sense of location and size.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of Antequera. The staff were very efficient and the room was fit for purpose. A typical Spanish style pension but 3*
