This hotel is such a little gem - it is tucked right off the highway but in a super quiet location and was the perfect overnight stay on my route from the ferry in France back down to my home in Portugal. It was stunning and well kept, with lovely staff. Very comfortable room with everything you need for a few days. Lovely patio on the first floor that I enjoyed sitting and reading outside with my dog in the evening. The breakfast (additional cost) was absolutely delicious - I had the Spanish omelette, avocado toast, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee and everything was magnificent. Very dog friendly place, and my pup was allowed in the restaurant for breakfast. 10/10 would stay again!

Ana was a lovely host. I booked late in the day and arrived in the evening, and her daughter greeted me and showed me around. The house is lovely; the room has a beautiful mountain view and excellent blackout shades so you can sleep past sunrise. Irun is a sweet town; there are many cafes and bars and the house is close to the metro station and the train to other nearby towns. I highly recommend staying with Ana if you are in Irun.
