Hars Garden is located on the beautiful hills of east Sumba. The view is spectacular. Hars is an amazing host who likes to share his ideas of a true ecological lifestyle, which includes his fabulous garden, that also provides fruits and veggies for your brekkie. Don't be alarmed by the lack of electric air-condition, there's a breeze on the hills that keeps your cute house cool at night. We stayed three nights at Hars Garden and were very well taken care of. Hars knowledge about the surroundings and east Sumba is a source not to disregard.

The reception staff were professional and friendly, the room attendant was attentive, and the restaurant staff consistently showed genuine hospitality. Their warmth and sincerity made the stay feel personal and comfortable. The room was clean, well-maintained, and inviting, offering the perfect place to relax. In the evening, the pool area came alive with a vibrant atmosphere. There was an event taking place with many guests, creating an energetic yet enjoyable vibe. The pool activities truly felt like the heart of the resort—full of life and positive energy. I also appreciated the variety of activities available, such as horse riding and cycling, which added a unique charm and allowed guests to enjoy the natural beauty of Sumba in an active way. At night, I treated myself to a spa experience within the resort, which was incredibly relaxing and the perfect way to end the day after a lively evening. Although my stay was short, it was deeply satisfying. Kambaniru Beach Hotel & Resort offers a wonderful combination of comfort, vibrant atmosphere, and heartfelt service. I had to leave, but I will certainly return on my next visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting East Sumba and looking for a resort with soul, warmth, and memorable experiences.

The place is just amazing if you wanna get away from the crowd and relax in heaven. They treat you like royalty and make sure you feel home from the first moment. The restaurant is sublime, the beach is on your doorstep and the staff are professionals and yet super sweet and caring. We rented a scooter from them and explored the savanna, waterfalls and traditional villages. On booking breakfast is mentioned to be 13 euro but in reality it is much cheaper. Food is super delicious and very affordable. I hope they start giving cooking classes in future.
