It is amazing property: very cozy, spotless, kitchen has everything you can need. Huge jacuzzi! Very warm, beautiful and cozy fireplace ! Instructions from the host was very clear. You cannot wish better location: ski resort and Vetta Nordic Spa are minutes away.

The location was close to Vetta spa (3min drive) which was the purpose of the trip. We were surprised by how well maintained spacious and inviting the room was. Very comfortable and had a little kitchenette area. The unit has a cute balcony with chairs. Would book here again.

We were locked out of the room for 3 hours before being able to go inside. Imagine if we had brought infants or children. We were unable to actually enjoy one whole night at this booking as we spent it in the car waiting … and the only answer was “you’ll just have to wait .. sorry for the inconvenience” no refund for the night, no pay back.. just a mere inconvenience to these people.

I Do Not Recommend Horseshoe Valley Victoria Suites and this location. Management and the Hosts at this location are not available in person nor by phone call to speak with you or resolve any problems or concerns. They only contact you by text which is not timely, especially if there is a problem or issue. They were unethical and deceptive when responding to me by text. They failed to deal with a dirty suite, not cleaned prior to check in, and not available at 4.00 p.m. as per booking specifications. They expected me to wait outside, in the heat, in the parking lot until they sent a cleaning team to the Suite? I have travelled extensively, used Booking.com successfully with no previous problems. I have never experienced the dismissive, lack of caring, deceptive, unethical treatment that I experienced here. I requested a refund and Management at this location continues their deception and lies to avoid providing the requested refund. I will pursue this as I can provide photos, evidence and witnesses to this disgraceful situation. Hopefully I can also protect other travellers too. Carol Murphy, Oakville, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦

There are many places to visit in Barrie: the lake, many hiking and walking trails throughout the city. Access is easy to get to with a car. The Georgian Mall is very clean and spacious to shop or browse.

Pretty, small, classic Ontario city with lots to see and do. Great cafes, restaurants, independent shops and cultural landmarks (don't miss Manticore Books, Mariposa Market, Gordon Lightfoot trail and the Leacock House). New waterfront developments aren't great but nice parks and a great walking and cycling trail runs right through the middle of town. Rent a bike and explore!

This property is not in Shanty Bay, it’s in horseshoe which is 20 minutes west of Orillia.
The bed was extremely ridiculously high, above my waist and it was very difficult to get on the bed at all.
The pool didn’t open until noon!!! On a beautiful sunny Saturday and Sunday. Also closed at 8 pm. Pool hours should be noted in the listing.

Great staff who understood our needs and compensated us for an amenity that was supposed to be included in our room but was not; Convenient location; Easy travel to Orillia where we had lots of choices for eating.
If you really want windows/doors that can open (like I do) then this may not be the place for you. With all that fresh air it was a real disappointment that we didn't have access to it unless we sat out on the balcony.

So much going on in summer.
So much going on in summer. The large Park on Couchiching has a ball field, swimming, playground, ice cream shack (yum!) eateries and a boardwalk and bicycle path. Taking a cruise on Lake Couchiching is an eye opener. Used to have line dance cruises, should bring it back. Mariposa, unique shops, shopping Malls and stores for everyone. The marina attracts all sizes of ships and they participate full out with Christmas in July". Great fun.
