The location was great and the view of the water was nice. The place was clean, comfortable and spacious and just like it was represented online. AND the lady at the desk when we checked in was exceptional. She professionally handled grumpy guests checking in ahead of us who complained about everything. Also, on checking out, she gave us the option of paying at a different hotel, that was run by the same people, that did take credit cards. !!AND!! we left very important medication in the refrigerator, which she personally ran over to us while we were paying at the other hotel—this more than makes up for anything I wrote in the “What didn’t you like?”! Thank you so much!

Great hotel staff, very attentive to all matters. We had a wonderful experience communicating. The room was also very nice; the beds were comfortable, and I even saw a seal from the window within the first 10 minutes of being in the room!

The location on the Oberland is great, with an amazing view over the island and the see. Also the hotel allows easy access to the cliff walk. The room was clean, well sized, with a free minibar and all staff was very friendly. The hotel is also pet friendly.

Great place to see some unusual wildlife.
Great place to see some unusual wildlife. Going to Dune is easy with regular ferry and yet pretty cheap. We stayed in camping part of Dune for one night, beaches are teaming with life. Facilities there are uniquely clean. Second part of our trip was spent in the main Island, it is still quite a small place and easy to see in 1-2 days. Again the cliffs are full of life.

Great sceneries of a small-sized island in the middle of the North-Sea. Very good walking trails on the island, leading to the gannet colony at the north-west of the island. The breeding season was not yet over, and many young birds had to be fed to grow so that they can withstand the coming autumn and winter period. I could take many nice pictures of the gannets at quite a close distance, the large sea-birds were pretty used to the tourists and photographers.
At another day, we want for a small boat trip to the neighboring but remote island called "Dune", which has a sand-shore, an airport and a small camping site.
We were very lucky with the weather, the forecast was really bad with above 15mm of rainfall on a single day. Luckily, that never happened when we were there. Weather forecasts can be wrong too, luckily.
