We wanted a place with history and the Bull had that. We expected that i would be ducking through lower doorways as i am 6; 3;; tall. We expected that fllors would not be perfectly flat. And that is what we got.

We slept very well because of the cosy bed, which was larger than we thought.
The peaceful and quiet surrounding was amazing.
Contact to owner was great.
Coffee and tea have been provided and some cookies.
Grilling would have been possible, if wanted.
We definitely plan to come again.

A classy joint (as they might have said in an old Hollywood movie). Very stylish and well designed. Not cheap but it is special. We had a suite with a massive balcony overlooking a lake.

A beautifully kept annexe studio with separate kitchen and walk in shower room.
Spotlessly clean and airy with good quality furnishings and the addition of a wood burning stove.
Really nice touches like fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge along with a lovely selection of biscuits.
The place just oozes class, and location is perfect.
Will most certainly stay there again.

Kempsford is a quiet village. There is a church and a pub. The pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. New houses are being built on the edge of the village. A lot of cars left the village in the mornings, so a lot of people live, but don't work there.
Swindon and Cirencester are easy to reach.
The countryside around Kempsford is beautiful.

Fairford is great.
Fairford is great.
It feels like a real place - especially after you have driven through some very very touristy places to get here.
There is a selection of good pubs, a couple of useful (very) small supermarkets, and good cafes and takeaways. We'd have liked to try the Italian too.
The church is justifiably famous for its stained glass, which does not disappoint, and the lovely welcome from the church volunteers added to the charm.
The walking is excellent - up or down the river, or down to various bits of the Cotswold water park.
We saw lots of wildlife (including a kingfisher) - always a bonus.

Lots of things to do in the area, we particularly liked the Cotswold Sculpture park and Kelmscot Manor. Restaurants in Cricklade were good. The village is nice to walk around with a small post office / shop a few yards away. The outside of the house was still being done up but the inside was nice and comfortable. To get to the parking you had to drive onto the building site at the back but this was not a problem.

We didn’t explore the village but the New Inn was an exceptional place to stay. Breakfast was great however I would say if you eat in the evening, the menu was a bit limited plus £6 for a salad which consisted of lettuce only was a bit disappointing to say the least. That said the roasted vegetables that I had were excellent.

All the furniture in the rooms were really old and outdated and in need of total refurbishing. It wouldn’t surprise me that f some of the furniture came from charity shops. The rooms were really overpriced. So, will definitely not recommend this hotel.

Beautiful spot, easy to visit other areas in the Cotswolds. Lovely walks along the river Thames. Fantastic Bangladeshi restaurant a short walk away (check out their Wednesday evening deal). Wish we could have stayed longer to check out the other restaurants nearby.
One parking space but easy alternative parking near by. Nice little courtyard to enjoy your breakfast or evening meal. Dog friendly.

Excellent location and nice bar.
Excellent location and nice bar. Food was very good in restaurant but beware as complicated arrangements for booking breakfast so unable to book on second day. Characterful hotel but tired decor. Ground floor bedroom had dirty net curtains and extensive thick black mould on inside of the bathroom window frames, also stained cushions. Staff were all excellent, friendly and efficient.

The decor, furniture, beds, linens felt tired and dated.
The decor, furniture, beds, linens felt tired and dated. The house was not particularly clean- unsightly stains on woodwork and carpet in one bedroom, lots of dust and spider webs in rooms, living room was not vacuumed, light switches did not work in bedrooms, oven was quite dirty inside and out, towels had faint smell of cigarette smoke, most of the walls in the property had dark scuff marks, beds were uncomfortable and old. Absolutely not good value for the price they charged.
