I had a lovely stay at this B&B. The room was incredibly quiet and comfortable, and I slept like a baby every night. Everything was clean, welcoming, and well cared for. Lucia is such a lovely host, friendly, kind, and genuinely welcoming. She made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay.

The cleanliness and proximity to the airport, and that the host was very nice and accommodating. We had a late check in and early check out and there were no issues with this, with the host always nearby in case we needed help. We needed a location close by to the airport for an early flight, we were recommended a taxi driver who picked us up from Trapani and were greeted at the door by our host. The mattress was very comfortable and all amenities worked perfectly (hot water, A/C, TV, lighting). We were recommended a nearby restaurant as there are not many shops in the area. I highly recommend.

Close to airport, good breakfast. Our flight was delayed, and Lidia left key for us as we came after midnight and sent msg to check we arrived safely. She was kind to drive us to airport in the morning to be able to take our rental. Highly reccomended.

Trapani Airport (TPS) Information

Location and Transport

Trapani airport, also known as 'Vincenzo Florio Airport Trapani–Birgi', is a military airport that's open to national and international passenger traffic. Located 9 miles (15 kilometres) south of Trapani, the airport is connected by the local AST bus service. The bus departs hourly from outside the terminal and takes around 35 minutes to reach Trapani city centre. Taxis cost around EUR 30, with a journey time of 25 minutes. For fairly priced taxis, it's best to make a reservation in advance through TaxiTender, the airport’s online booking platform.

Lo Stagnone and specifically the area of Birgi Vecchi is just great. It's a magnificent place to kite and though it attracts a lot of tourists, it never has that commercial tourism feeling. It feels like the location is yours.

I found Trapani somewhat disappointing compared with other parts of Sicily we visited. The old town has some attractive historic buildings, but overall it felt rather tired and not particularly clean, and we didn't find as charming as expected. Restaurants were generally quite expensive for what was offered, with many having limited menus. The nearby beaches were also very busy and, in our opinion, not especially clean. If visiting the area again, we would probably choose to stay in Marsala or elsewhere and visit Trapani for the day rather than base ourselves there.

Casa Santa was a disappointing experience overall.

Casa Santa was a disappointing experience overall. The area feels neglected — it’s dirty, with a lot of garbage around. Crossing the street is stressful and unsafe, as drivers seem to ignore basic traffic rules. Public transportation is almost non-existent, which makes getting around difficult. Taxis are the only real option, and they cost around €20 to reach almost any point in the city — which adds up quickly. It also raises a fair question: why is there a tourist tax if the city’s infrastructure is not being developed or maintained? Overall, not a place I would recommend if you expect basic comfort and convenience.

Marsala is a perfect mix of small enough to not be...

Marsala is a perfect mix of small enough to not be intimidating and large enough to have plenty of places to eat etc. It's not got lots of beaches. The best beach we found was Playa Blanca, which got very busy when we there on the weekend. There's 99% Italians in Marsala, it's a proper Italian town and is unspoilt by tourism. There's some lovely historic buildings, churches and the people are lovely - the drivers are crazy though, as in every other part of Italy! Marsala's a good base to get to Palermo, Trapani, the cable car to Erice, Segusta, the islands of the west coast and lots of other places To get your bearings, set your map to Porta Nueva (Via XI Maggio, 6, 91025 Marsala) and walk through the arch to find shops, cafes, restaurnats and beautiful Churches. Heads up that it is rammed omn Saturday night!

Favignana is a lovely island which is great to explore on a bike or motor scooter. The beaches are great, the water is that lovely turqoise and the food is fabulous. I would definitely go back to Favignana but my only criticism is that I went during Italian holidays and it was very, very busy. Too crowded for me.

A great place to relax and plan day trips just a short distance from the city to Erice, Favignana, the salt fields, and other destinations. Excellent restaurants with great food. Plenty of car, scooter, and bike rentals in town and around the port. There are markets offering fresh seafood, fruit, and vegetables.

The information about the accommodation is a lie and the...

The information about the accommodation is a lie and the landlord is extremely unfriendly. It was said that all rooms have a balcony and access to the terrace with sea view. My room only had a window to the light well without fresh air. There is no terrace with sea view, just a concrete roof with no shade and furniture overlooking the neighborhood. I have still not received a proper invoice to be able to charge for the business trip. I didn't even get enough toilet paper, nor did the equipment in the rooms meet the standard.

Marsala is an absolutely charming city and definitely worth visiting! We loved its beautiful historic streets, relaxed atmosphere and authentic Sicilian vibe. It’s a perfect place to slow down, enjoy delicious Italian food, drink great wine and simply experience the beauty of Sicily. The city feels welcoming and has a unique charm, especially in the evenings. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend staying in Marsala for a few days. We would love to come back one day!

We loved the location and staying 4 days to explore the island was the best part of our Sicilian trip. Quality restaurants in the Port, we also hired a bike and visited some amazing beach bar locations. Will be back for sure.

Trapani was a wonderful destination, and we had a fantastic stay. The city has a truly authentic Sicilian atmosphere and feels much less crowded than some of Sicily's more famous destinations. The historic old town is beautiful to explore, especially in the evening, and the sunsets over the sea are absolutely spectacular. We found several excellent restaurants, plenty of charming cafés and bars, and the prices were very reasonable. Be sure to try the local cannoli and granita – they were some of the best we've ever had! The locals were always friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The city beaches are great, with a few of them being truly outstanding. We also felt very safe throughout our stay, even when walking around at night, and during the day we had no concerns leaving our belongings on the beach while going for a swim. One of Trapani's biggest advantages is its location. The beautiful hilltop town of Erice is just a short trip away and is absolutely worth visiting. Trapani is also the perfect base for taking a ferry or a boat trip to the stunning Egadi Islands, which was one of the highlights of our holiday. The city itself is very walkable, and one full day is enough to explore its main attractions at a relaxed pace. The only downside was the public transportation, which could be better organized and signposted. Getting a taxi to or from the airport wasn't always straightforward, although it was manageable with a bit of planning. We also couldn't book the airport shuttle at the last minute, so it's worth arranging airport transport well in advance. Overall, Trapani exceeded our expectations, and we would happily visit again.
