I had a marvelous stay and wonderful experience at the KINGS GATE AIRPORT TRANSIT HOTEL. The staff was extremely friendly, caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. The atmosphere was special and it really felt like home to me. I enjoyed the hot water, the A/C, TV, the view from the balcony and the very comfortable bed and clean bathroom with a Good FREE WIFI signal. The hotel is close to the Katunayake Airport (not walking distance, but 5 minutes by Taxi or Auto). The hotel is very useful for those who Arrive Or depart late at night and need somewhere to stay and not waste time in transport. I will definitely come back and also recommend it to my friends. Thank You so much!!!

Cosy charming place close to the airport, perfect to settle down after arrival or before departure. Hosts are lovely people who take care of everything and cook nice dinners. The pool is set in a lovely green garden, next to the river. It's quiet and comfy! You can easily visit Colombo from here. We would stay here again anytime!

Great view from the balcony, the outside area is incredible. I would have like to investigate the grounds more, such an attractive building! And in an interesting area, bus stops right along the main road (about 5 min walk). The rooms are basic and could be cleaner. The ensuite bathroom was a little smelly. Wifi worked really well. The staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. We received a free bottle of water on arrival. Breakfast is available at an extra charge. The directions to the hotel aren't clear, the tuk tuk driver needed to phone multiple times, very kindly a staff member came to the entranceway to signal for us.

I arrived too early BUT, as a result, had a GREAT pedicure and head/neck massage, about an hour in all. Perfect preparation for a 10.5 hour flight to London. Recommended go early snd indulge yourself.

We stayed here overnight after travelling around Sri Lanka. We did not expect the warmth and kindness we received. The room was very cheap, yet large, clean and the proprietor even gave us lifts locally to the shops etc.

Super friendly and fast check-in. Great and attentive staff. We were meeting a friend who lives in Colombo and the hotel was super convenient because we ate dinner at their fabulous, world class buffet at Plates. Nice pool with poolside restaurant. Easy for early morning flight out of CMB.
