The hosts are a very nice couple , very inviting and giving lots of interesting tips. They are open to discuss some cultural and political issues that gives a nice inside on the Mexican life .
The room and bathroom was spacious and perfect with airco if you want , also nice pool in garden to have a fresh dive , fresh free coffee available in the morning

Merida is the second safest city in North America.
Merida is the second safest city in North America. Safer than any city in the U.S. Second only to Quebec, Canada. And for the same reason: an indigenous population speaking its own language (Mayan), where crooks can't come and hide.
And it's one of the oldest cities in the Americas. Great history, and a great base to visit the wonderful old Mayan cities nearby. It does get quite hot in the summer so consider visiting in spring, fall and especially winter. Wonderful people wonderful food, a must visit addition to your bucket list. If you go, you'll go back every year.

Laid back, colonial city.
Laid back, colonial city. Enjoyed walking around the historic area. Paseo Montejo worth a visit especially the museum. We rented a car here and were able to explore the Yucatan especially the cenote's, Progresso and Sisal.

This colonial city is a hidden jewel. I “discovered” it 11 months ago and have already been here on 3 occasions. The people of Merida all glad we are here and it shows. The food is beyond belief! Five stars ⭐️ and affordable. But above all, this is a very safe city with a treasure trove of cultural treasures readily shared with visitors. Wear comfy shoes if you (like me) love to walk and peek around. If you can’t, no worries. Taxis and Uber are very affordable. Hot in the summer and cool nights in winter but overall very pleasant. Clean, safe, beautiful and historic. MERIDA IS SIMPLY AWESOME.
