Great location, I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation - simply loved the cabin style, even though they were simple and the bunk beds may not fit everyone (we were accommodated in the small red cabins). I was staying there with my father and he was thrilled .) Service facilities were clean and close by, the camp staff were friendly and supportive. We have rented bed sheets (as we're traveling lightly) and got them almost right-away.

The hotel was really lovely—charming decor, helpful staff, delicious breakfast. The location is fabulous—close to central station, downtown, and the harbor. The hotel restaurant is really, really good—-with a really lively dinner scene. Creative pizzas (our fave was a roasted brisket pizza with tarragon cream) and equally creative salads.

The hotel is charming. Decorated so cute, but also was clean with helpful staff. Adorable restaurant on site. Bikes you can use to ride around the pretty downtown. Walking distance to the castle and beach.

Wonderful castle and walks around and through the city were most enjoyable. The area is flat so no problems with steep inclines.
Interesting history with many photo opportunities. Even took advantage of a local folk singing concert. We came away most refreshed and look forward to visiting again.

The location is amazing, and the pizza in the restaurant is great. We did not expect to find such good pizza in such a tiny place. :) It's dog-friendly, which is a great plus!
The house we booked was well-equipped and in very good condition overall. However, I wish the management had taken better care to check if the previous owners had cleaned properly after leaving. It wasn't disgustingly dirty, but the previous occupants definitely did not follow the cleaning instructions. There were also too few cleaning supplies, and I wish the rugs were labeled—toilet rugs, for example, should be labeled so people don't use them to clean other parts. ;-)

It was well worth the trip from Helsingborg. We liked the old town. The castle & surrounding gardens were spectacular. We would have done the nature walk, but the weather was too cold & wet (23rd & 24th May, 2025.

The castle was a great tour—even in the pouring rain.
The castle was a great tour—even in the pouring rain. We drove to Oland and swam in the Baltic Sea. It was a nice hike—easy 4-5 miles. Walking around the walled area of Kalmar was nice as well. We had dinner at Ernesto’s which was delicious.
