Just be warned that if booking anywhere through booking.com or priceline.com and your flight never arrives for you to be able to use your hotel room you will not be reimbursed nor will they move the reservation for the following night

Kitchenette was a surprise, although we didn't need or use it. Marriot needs to do something better about their shuttle bus long waiting times and repeated no-shows that they committed. The filthy mattress cover situation for the convertible sofa bed was an extreme turn-off. General hotel location was ok and in close proximity to the airport. Continental breakfast was typical with a number of adequate selections and it was appreciated. Not many convenient/close restaurants either in the hotel or right nearby in walking distance.

The room and people working were great ... I was disappointed when I received my final room charge. I held the room with my Discover Card, but when I arrived I moved all cost to a $500 American Express / Hilton Gift card that I received from my employer. The Hilton desk clerk switched everything over to the gift card. The desk clerk had some problems but after a few minutes said everything was fine ... my Discover Card would not be charged the Gift Card would cover the room rate. There was still $150 remaining on the gift card so we applied the remaining balance to my friends room . The desk clerk kept the American Express card since it was now showing a zero balance. I was surprised when I received my Discover Card statement .. the full amount of the room was charged to Discover. I called Hilton and was told the American Express / Hilton gift card was denied. I said that could not be right the card was not expired and the desk clerk said everything was OK ? I made other attempts to resolve the problem with Hilton but did not receive any help.

Dania Beach has grown quite a bit over the years. We stayed steps to a quiet beach. The pier is close and many restaurants and shops are within a short drive. Not much within walking distance, but we wanted a quiet beach getaway from the hustle and bustle. Dania Beach affords that luxury.

Since we arrived late and did not have much time to explore the area. We were told that there is a pizza restaurant about two blocks from the hotel. Since we did not find it, we asked a gas station attendant, he mentioned that the pizza was the best there. Gave us direction. Both these people who worked on the same street, did not know the restaurant was closed down. We met three individuals going on cruise coming back with leftovers. They recommended the Fish Grill restaurant next to our hotel. We found the food tasty. There is a Grumpy Gary restaurant opening soon, not far from the closed pizza restaurant.

Off the beach but situated in the middle of a great shopping area where one can get lost. It's got events, great dining, and it's centrally located. You can do the Hard Rock or the Beach, or BOTH IN THE SAME DAY! Golf, horse racing, and casinos are just a few of the features you can enjoy in Dania Beach.
