The apartment was clean and tidy, had everything we needed located centrally in Haarlem (just besides the town square), as well as good sound isolation for the benefit of our sleeping. We particularly liked that the doors (main+apartment entrance) could be opened via a web app. It was also very nice to have 3 airconditioning units available - 1 in the living room/kitchen, and 1 in each of the 2 bedrooms. Having the toilet and bathroom separated in two different rooms was practical, and having a combined convection and microwave oven as well as a Quooker kitchen sink (featuring boiling water) was also a welcome surprise.

Mick is a wonderful and caring host, always available and eager to cater to any need. The neighborhood is quiet and yet close to public transportation and supermarkets. Magdalena House is really a home far away from home. Haarlem is a lovely city full of good restaurants or cafes, nice shops, and a vibrant market place on Saturdays.

    Self catering, however a Nespresso coffee maker with coffee pods was supplied. Also cooking facilities. Bed extremely comfortable. This is the second time we have stayed in this studio and would stay again as it is fantastic, with an outside sitting area. Close to Amsterdam airport. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The couple who own it live next door and are lovely people and always available if needed. Parking at property.

    We stayed for two nights in a row. The studio was tiny, very functional and had everything we needed for our stay and more. With instructions from our hostess, we found the shopping area, restaurants and transportation to travel to and from Amsterdam. The bed and bedsheets were very comfortable and smelled very clean. Jose drove us to the airport and we got to know each other more. This experience gave us a chance to have a short stay at a Dutch community. That was a big plus.
