The atmosphere. It was like living in a movie for two days, the house is wonderful, the personal touches are everywhere, it was amazing. The breakfast was extraordinary! Im definitely going back just for the vibes.

It’s quaint right outside of town. We were there in October and drove through a blizzard (literally) and got there a little late so we didn’t see anyone but a cute little sticky with a room key with our name. The shared kitchen had everything needed to cook a nice meal from the grocery store just 1/2 mile away. We had room 4 which had a great picture window where we did see northern lights. Now it is a converted cow shed so not a typical hotel so go with mindset of a unique Iceland experience.

Featuring a private pier and an impressive sea view, Tungulending Guest house is located 8.1 mi outside of Húsavík village. Relaxation options include enjoying a drink at the bar.
