Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

This is a good place for a couple to stay. It was clean and cozy. The staff there is very friendly. Breakfast every morning was different and very tasty. The hotel is located very close to the beach, but if you want to surf, you need to get to the main point, which is a 10minute drive from there.

The owner was amazing and helped out so much! I was able to speak with him to extend my stay because it was so clean and comfortable. Embarrassingly I had ran out of fuel in my scooter and he was gracious enough to take to get fuel on his scooter. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Location walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Helped us to organize a surfing lesson/guide which was great. Air-conditioning worked well and was definitely needed as it was hot and humid while we were there.

Really enjoyed my stay here, the room was basic but had everything I needed. Mosquito net worked very well and the bathroom/shower was spacious. I was greeted with a smile every time and Murshith was super friendly and really enjoyed getting to know you. He also helped arrange a surf lesson for me last minute and it was one of my favorite activities I did in Arugam Bay. Extremely close to the beach, just 1-2 minute walk and very close to restaurants and all the action at night.

Everything! To start with : the location. It is conveniently located away from the loud main road, in the nature. At the same time it is 5 mins walk to the beach. If you want to surf - the main point is a bit further. However if you want to sacrifice your comfort and rest by staying somewhere closer to the main point - it is your choice. But for me I walked or used tuk tuk. 5 mins and you are at the place. Secondly we loved it for the authenticity . It has the history and the owner - Laura - is the sweetest , approachable and helping person in the world! She build this place 12 years ago and it breathes her personality. It is so beautiful! It blends so nicely with the nature around. Just to think that every detail was carefully though through is already an honor to stay there! Thirdly I can’t say enough thank you to Laura! She’s the best host I ever met. Anything we needed or we wanted - she would help us. Safari , surf , laundry, breakfast, car transfer. Literally anything! I really appreciate her effort and I hope her place would flourish more in this beautiful part of the world. We need more of such houses and owners. Where you don’t just have a bed to sleep in but also a story , energy, kindness and vibe.
