The best part about this place is Mohammed, he made sure we were always comfortable, he always had delicious snacks for us. The room was really comfortable, with AC and a fan. Just next to the beach, and a really good surf school. Would recommend.

Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Big thanks to Katherine and Michelle—we absolutely loved it here! The room and garden design is super stylish, and they really pay attention to all the little details. The restaurant food was great—we ended up eating there for three days straight! :) They also work with a taxi company that’s very reasonably priced and super reliable—honestly better than PickMe. We used them for the rest of our trip around Sri Lanka. Just a heads-up: the sea right outside the hotel is a bit rough, so it’s not the best for swimming. But the pool is perfect, so definitely go for that instead!

Location is perfect - right in front of the beach and all visits easily reachable by walking (main point 3min) or tuk tuk (peanut farm beach / elephant rock) Breakfast was great. Especially i want to mention the stuff, they were super happy, supportive and helpful with every question or request. One of the best hotels we have been so far. I am incredibly impressed with the outstanding customer service at this establishment. While traveling for work, I had to take public transport and required a very late check-in at 4 AM. Many other places either refused me or tried to charge for two full days, even though I was only staying for a few hours. In a last-minute decision right before boarding my bus, I booked this hotel and explained my situation. To my relief, they immediately agreed to my request without any hesitation or additional fees. When I arrived in the early hours of the morning, everything was perfectly prepared for me. The place itself is lovely, with a unique touch: each room has its own private outdoor seating area complete with a sofa, table, and even a ceiling fan. On top of all that, the location is fantastic, right in the heart of town, making everything easily accessible by foot. I can't recommend this place enough, especially for their wonderful hospitality!

You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.

still relatively not crowded by the locals due to the distance, and miles of unspoiled, beautiful, isolated beaches to be found. Surfers paradise, but the seas can be a bit rough for the average sea goer. accommodation can be a bit overpriced during season but you can find some reasonable accommodation if you search and ask around.

Best And Best Place + ❤️Hidden Gem in Arugum Bay!❤️Location is perfect to everything you need (restaurants, beaches, convenience stores). Property nestled well within nature with a Huge tree keeping the property cool in the afternoons, a hangout area and a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal. Marina Way staff are the friendliest I've met in Arugumbay and work hard everyday to make sure the property is always looking neat and clean! Thank you to Ameen and his great team for being so accommodating!

The best choice for staying in Arugam Bay. It's right off the beach, you can hear the waves crashing from the courtyard! It's situated near restaurants and in a quiet area (which is really nice) but you can still walk to the center and everything you need is a short walk from the hotel. Very clean, quiet, safe, and near the beach, hammocks are a huge plus, and the staff is very accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend it and would absolutely stay here again!!

If I can write one thing here, it is that I have never had such a great experience in any hotel in the world. The owner Abdul makes everything possible for his guests. I have not experienced such a loving and friendly manner for a long time. I was traveling alone as a woman and Abdul always made sure that I was okay and that nothing happened to me. He even accompanied me from Arugam Bay to the airport! I can only recommend this hotel to you.

All the staff is amazing, especially Angie and her husband (the owners) always with a smile and kindness to give. There is yoga lessons, safari tours and surf classes to take. The environment of the hotel is amazing and all the good energies in Arugam Bay are there. They will build more in the future to expand the hotel so we will definitely come back to see and visit them. Thank you for everything!
