We stayed in cliff side 1, I can’t even express how much I loved my room. The views were out of this world. The cliff side rooms have an en-suite bathroom, the remaining rooms had more of a glamping set up where it’s just a room with a view and the other amenities are communal such as the bathrooms, kitchen (with any cookware you could need)and a lounge area known as the The Alexandre center. This is strictly an adults only location. I love kids but having an adults only resort was extra relaxing and peaceful. Everyone was respectful of each other’s space and noise. There are fire pits that are lit every evening, that gave us the bonfire feel. There are various lounging areas through out the property. Drinks and snacks were available for purchase via QR code. They had many Tassie local wines and spirits. There’s a trail that the staff recommended for sunset walks that has the most breathtaking views and it leads to specific beaches where the penguins come to rest. Last but not least, FAIRY PENGUINS!!!!! The cove is surrounded by beaches that are home to many many little Tasmanian penguins. We saw them every evening. They say they come up at dusk but they came out when it was pretty dark. I could keep going, but bottom line is this place is amazing! You should book!

This place is a hidden gem in East Davenport! Very quiet, except for the sound of the surf. Well equipped with dishs and plenty of towels. Nice view of the ocean. Highly recommend!

Hawley House has a fabulous location, an engaging host, and provides a most excellent breakfast in a stunning "period" dining room. Arrival directions were good and the information compendium and books on the history of the property were comprehensive and interesting. Unfortunately we made an error when booking thinking that the four adults in our party could comfortably share one room. The suite allocated was more a family room perhaps suited to 2 adults/2 children and we would suggest far too small for four adults to consider.

The park was across the road from the beach and although we didn’t swim there we enjoyed beach combing. We also loved being close to the skateboard park and BMX track. My kiddos also loved the jumping pillow.

The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home. This property is beautifully maintained and very clean. We loved the location and view of the river.
