Swiss Bay Hotel & Resort Arugam bay: A Fantastic Stay! My recent stay at Swiss Bay Hotel & Resort in Arugambay was absolutely wonderful, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone visiting the area. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches and the serene atmosphere that allowed for complete relaxation. The location is truly ideal, offering easy access to the beautiful beach and the vibrant local scene, yet providing a peaceful retreat when you want to unwind. The service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure all my needs were met with a friendly smile. Their genuine hospitality truly made a difference and contributed significantly to a memorable experience. We had the most amazing stay here. Everything was perfect. And the hosts were the cutest most helpful couple. They drove us when we needed transportation, helped us with finding surfboards, and a million other things. They went out of their way so many times for us. The food was absolutely phenomenal with HUGE portions for a very reasonable price (breakfast was free and it alone could fill you up for the whole day). We also had some very nice conversations with them and their English was very good, which was a big +. I truly recommend everyone to book with them as you'll have a stay you won't regret.

This place is amazing. Little quiet paradise near busy Arugam Bay. You can enjoy walks along the beach or sunsrise on the beach, relax in hamaka. We loved our stay here. The cottages are so nice and cute, the beach is right next to it and hotel manager Mureli took amazing care of us. He helped us with our tuktuk trouble, he is amazing chef, the food was so delicious. He did his job perfectly and went even beyond. If we'll return to Sri Lanka we will definitely pay this place a visit. Probably the most beautiful place we stayed in Sri Lanka. And for amazing price.

Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Everything about the property was absolutely lovely— it truly had everything you could ever need. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the pool area was gorgeous. The hosts, Michelle and Catherine, were incredibly kind, accommodating, and responsive. The rest of the staff were incredible as well. We stayed here for almost a week and it was a very special part of our trip. We can’t wait to come back.
