The location for us was perfect! Beach across the street, huge pool and beautiful river views. The small restaurant /bar on site was perfect, FREE coffee in the AM and water available by the pool. Extremely friendly staff. We arrived a few hours before check-in as we were able to use the facilities and the beach across the street and we're lucky enough to find out our room was already. In addition the day we checked out, we were also welcome to stay and use the facilities.

What else can I say but amazing ! Beautiful grounds, super clean , amazing staff, great accommodations and an amazing pool and bar outside and literally across the street from beach. Loved every second we were there .

I was traveling by myself for a church event and found The Waldon the same day I was scheduled to leave NC. I absolutely loved my room, I was in the small guest house. To be honest, I could have booked another day just to enjoy the beautiful lake and relating outdoor spaces.

    Our room was updated. Appeared all new. Very comfortable bed. Very nice and clean bathroom. Lobby is spacious, relatively quiet. 3 elevators moved quickly. Access to the beach boardwalk and the village were very easy. Bar on the boardwalk with live music was nice. Outdoor pool is very nice although the water was cold so we didn't go in, but enjoyed the lounge chairs both at the pool and on the beach. The beach was very clean and well maintained, with very good service from the staff who provided the lounge chairs and umbrella.
