The place is perfectly clean and tidy. The host Cecilia is friendly and helpful.
I loved the mattress comfort and the shower!!
It’s quite close to NYC and Jersey Garden Mills outlet (although there is a bus stop round the corner, the public transportation is really bad.)
The host offers fruit and cookies in the morning which is great, added to the coffee that there is always available.

The property was very clean and up to date . The security system for the house is excellent too I felt safe at all times. The amenities on the house were also very nice the TV told us when our food in the microwave was ready lol.

parking should be free its customers. It cost us an extra $100 which we were unaware of the daily price of parking until we got the charge. There was nothing showing how much it will cost us for parking - transparency.
towels / wash clothes seem to be in short supply ever time we asked, so we had to keep going back / forth. Staff was great in their jobs / helpful. Location was great.

Location was close to NYC but the neighborhood is not somewhere I would stay again. The street was narrow and people were quadruple parked -single file at the side of the house that other tenants had to knock on our door, move our car so that they can leave. Thankfully, it was just an overnight stay for us as we could not wait to to leave the property the next day. Property was also at the basement that was not mentioned at the booking. People who have disability would think twice to book it.

From the periodic information passengers were able to get my United flight to Portland Maine was repeatedly delayed and then cancelled because the plane would not be able to land once it arrived. Apparently the problems on 4 September were building up throughout the day. Before the flight from LA landed my daughter in Sydney, Australia messaged me to tell there were
”shenanigans” at Newark.

The staff was kind and very accommodating. The room was clean and ready for an early check in even though the hotel was sold out that weekend.
I had a suite with a kitchen, it was clean and well equipped!
They even gave me a free umbrella when it started raining and I was walking to an event. I would highly recommend

Irvington is alright, relaxed lower-income neighborhood but the people warm and friendly.
You can tell it is a very old and historic area so it has a certain interesting charm to it.
Plenty of cheap and interesting eateries and lots of shopping so you have everything you need there.
I would definitely come back and stay there as an affordable alternative to NYC.

Went for a quick trip to newark for a concert, first time there. Really appreciated the service from staff. The hotel was not too big not too small. Loved the free wifi and the free breakfast. Did not get to use any other amenities really. Vending machines were nice and there was a microwave in my room. My view was of the parking lot but I was only there for a few hours so that didn't really bother me.

It is a residential area and it becomes quiet after 6 PM.
It is a residential area and it becomes quiet after 6 PM. You can find small eateries nearby but you will have to travel a bit to find shopping centers. I liked the place it is very clean and have nice helping people around.

By far the worst experience of my life! I've traveled around the world for the last 50 years, but I had never experienced such a terrible experience as I did at the Howard Johnson EWA ! I strongly recommend you eliminate that hotel from the listing!

this was fairly convenient to where I was spending my time but not a great neighborhood and the rental was just awful. what I didn't mention in my original review was that I had to cashapp the host before I could check in. I understand that he wasn't on booking long enough for booking to collect the fees but what if I didn't have that much cash in my account to send him. I would have been out of a place to stay (maybe that would have been a good thing in retrospect) and not at all happy. I have a business and accept credit cards so just because booking couldn't accept for new hosts doesn't mean the host can't accept cc.

Close to many other great hotels.
Didn't had much entertainment but good for a short trip.
The elevator was nice, spacious and fast.
Was not a luxurious but good for its owner.
