This 4-star superior hotel in Grainau is beside the Eibsee lake, directly at the foot of the Zugspitze mountain. It offers free Wi-Fi, a modern spa and many recreational opportunities. I enjoyed my stay so thoroughly that I decided to add another night! The location is amazing, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The 3/4 pension really includes 3 full meals as the afternoon “snacks” were enough for lunch. I can’t wait to return!

Peacefully located a 5-minute drive from Bad Reichenhall, this family-run hotel has a lakeside terrace overlooking Lake Thumsee. The hotel was set in a beautiful valley with spectacular views. Dirk was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was nicely appointed, which made for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast selection gave plenty of choices. The price made this stay very good value.
