Our stay at Kingz Kottage was excellent. The place is a little tricky to find at first, but the street signs make it manageable — and once you enter the gate, you find a lovely property with a clean swimming pool right at the entrance. We arrived early and Tesha, the host’s son, welcomed us and showed us to our room. The room was larger than expected, very well located, with clean linens and towels folded in a beautiful swan shape. The bathroom was spotless. Shortly after, we met the hosts and his wife — both very friendly and welcoming people. Breakfast was great every day, more than enough for both of us, and always something a little different. They also gave us excellent tips on what to visit and where to shop. The only small drawback is that the entrance and bathroom door frames are quite low — at 6'4" I had to be careful entering. Otherwise, everything was great and we would happily return.

The apartment is a luxury condo with a great view, something like this would be $400 a night on Miami Beach. And it has all the right touches and amenities to be up to top Western standards. The service by Camilas is better than what you get in a 5-star Western hotel, for example I was worried about an airport transfer in the middle of the night, so he drove me himself in his own car as a courtesy. That's just his level of thoughtful service. This is the best of the best for my trip in Sri Lanka.

They're so kind, understanding and they do everything they could to make you happy. °The cleaning was done not in two seconds as everybody does in different countries. They cleaned the place like for themselves. °The food was good. °The room was huge. °Everything worked well. °The pool was maintained very well. °I had some probs at work and Bernard and Sonja were so kind to me letting me go one week earlier than planned, they refunded the amount exactly as it was supposed to be. Oh, I'm so touched by these people and their kind hearts. °If you want to relax and you're tired of the city, metropolis noise, hussle and stuff, this place is ideal for you. Or maybe a one-two-three day stay for chilling before going to the next place. I'd never advise any other places but this. You'd never regret it.
