The studio, although small, is very clean and has everything you need for a short stay. We didn't use the lower pool and bar, so we are unable to comment on them, we did, however, use the roof top pool and bar, the view from the roof top pool is good, you can see across playa aswell as the sea. We had a couple of cocktails from the bar think they were around 200 pesos each. If you are looking to stay somewhere for a few nights, this is a perfect, comfortable, friendly little place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of main street playa. When we come back to Playa, we will definitely see if this place is available.

Our time in Palapas del Sol was the Highlight of our trip to Mexico and indeed was a "dream vacation". We were living in one of the suites and the view from there was just stunning. The whole suite was spacious, had a pretty design and everything we could possibly need. We especially loved the hammocks at the beach and at our huge balcony. The staff was super nice and the service extraordinary. Special thanks to Nanfa who was coordinating everything from drinks to the beach, a romantic surprise dinner for my husband, breakfast etc. Even the food was amazing and had a really fair price. We really hope to come back one day <3 A hotel which is really worth the price.

Perfect location, but most importantly amazing staff! Everyone was so helpful and welcoming, always with a smile. They were amazing! The location is beautiful and directly on the beach.

Our stay at Hotel Solana Bacalar Lakefront was a pleasure from the moment we arrived. The hotel has a beautiful setting right by the lagoon, with peaceful surroundings and views that make you slow down and relax. The reception and restaurant/bar staff were genuinely excellent — professional, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warmth made the stay feel personal and easy, and we really appreciated the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. The on-site restaurant offers great food and drinks in a lovely lakeside setting, perfect for watching the colors of Bacalar’s lagoon change through the day. A place that combines natural beauty with attentive service — highly recommended.

The location was great; the apartment was really nice and came with a washer and dryer; and, Maryel was very responsive and helped us navigate and plan our trip

Stayed here for two weeks and absolutely loved it. The place is new, modern, spotless, and full of thoughtful little touches. Huge shoutout to the cleaning crew and the front desk staff — friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel genuinely taken care of. This was my first-ever hostel stay — straight off my bucket list — and multiple seasoned hostel travellers told me I was very lucky with my first choice. Would definitely come back!
