Top notch experience staying at Potami Seashell. I extended my stay from 4 days to 3 weeks. It was fabulous, right on the beautiful Ionian Sea, tucked inside the bay of Himare, quaint family owned hotel with a small, tasty restaurant, decorated effortlessly cool. Dimitra is incredible - helpful, funny, respectful and her experience with her own travel makes her an attuned and excellent host. Dimitra's mother, Vaso, and sister, Athena, prepare many of their dishes with fresh cheeses, vegetables and meats sourced from the families garden. It's the best location in Himare - to one direction you have a short walk along the seaside boardwalk into the center of town and in the other direction is a bluff, where you can hike to a kind of hidden and beautiful beach inside a canyon. This was exactly the experience I was looking for. A beautiful, cozy, affordable corner of the world to relax and feel at home. I went at the end of September and into early October. It's the end of tourist season, the weather was gorgeous, mostly sunny and warm and a few cool stormy days. The water temperature perfect and calm seas. Could it get any better? Dreaming of my return.

Please do yourself a favour and stay here when visting Himarë! The best part of this property is the location. It's in a quieter/less touristy part of Himarë (which we wanted) but still on the main road with direct beach access. We loved feeling like we were living amongsts locals and taking advantage of a pristine and empty beach. The apartment itself was perfect, clean and comfortable. But the most amazing part is the view that we were lucky enough to have. Our balcony overlooked the private beach and the stunning water and rugged coastline, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a sunset drink. Petro was an incredibly kind and gracious host, who welcomed us upon arrival and spent some time chatting and getting to know us. He was able to answer all our questions (both prior to and during our stay) and provided a number of recommendations for local places to eat and things to do. Petro runs the property with his family, and we were so happy to be supporting such a high-quality, family-run business. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Himarë and would encourage anyone looking for accommodation in the area to consider Magic Ionian. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

I loved Nila, her family, and the service. Everyone was very kind, and Nila speaks very good English. They helped me a lot to discover the best the place has to offer and are very generous with everything. The hotel is in a beautiful and quiet part of Himare, and everything there is pleasant, delicious, and peaceful. The room has a beautiful sea view and is located in the most beautiful part of the local beach.

The apartments had really nice interiors and the beds were really comfortable. The manager, Alexandra really made our stay here. She was very welcoming and friendly, giving us lots of recommendations of things to do and places to eat while we were in Himare.

A fantastic and peaceful location. Only a few minutes walk to the beach, cafés, bars, restaurants and a small supermarket. A spotless, spacious room with a lovely balcony to enjoy the stunning sunsets. Room cleaned and towels and bed linen changed regularly. Delicious and copious breakfasts. Spiridoula and her husband are the kindest and most attentive hosts. From doing our laundry to leaving a bowl of freshly picked figs in the room. And even a little glass of wine together and chat in the afternoon! This is true hospitality from the heart.
