Absolutely stunning property in Libourne. The decor throughout is beautiful and the bedrooms are very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Corinne and Laurent are incredibly friendly hosts and regularly check that you have everything you need. The breakfast provided was absolutely delicious with so much effort put in for the guests. Would highly recommend a stay here if you want to visit saint emilion, which is a very easy 7 minute train ride away or 15 minutes in a taxi to many of the vineyards.

We stayed at la Maison Mulato in Libourne for 4 nights. The hosts were welcoming and Corinne cooks an excellent breakfast. The place is located near the centre of Libourne and at about 40 mins from Bordeaux. The hotel is a period property that has been recently renovated with fine decor by Corinne, interior designer and architect, also owner of the estate. A beautiful place to stay near Bordeaux

This was a dream escape! I cannot get over how amazing our 4 night stay here was. The village of Fronsac is so idyllic, and the Chateau is gorgeous! Beautiful rooms with the comfiest beds and stunning bathrooms. The grounds and pool are breathtakingly beautiful. I loved walking around and exploring as much as possible. The staff are incredibly wonderful and were so helpful during our stay. The wine is delicious and unbelievably reasonably priced, and the included breakfast is perfection. We were there during harvest so the vines were full of luscious grapes, and we were lucky enough to sample fresh pressed Chardonnay and Sav B juice. Amazing! There's a local brewery just across the road that opens Friday night, definitely go here! The locals are so welcoming, the beer is incredible (particularly the rosé beer), and the charcuterie platters are out of this world! We didn't have a car but that didn't stop us. The local buses are very easy to navigate albeit not that often, but the local taxi and occasional ubers were fantastic! Getting to Bordeaux for a day was easy on the train, and I definitely recommend renting ebikes in nearby Libourne to explore the whole region and Saint-Emilion.
