Our stay was pure luxury. If you can grab the cottage, absolutely 100% do it! I loved their charming breakfast, the hosts were unfailingly gracious, and the location could not be more desired. We stayed 2 nights and how I wish it had been longer.

Wonderful hosts! The room was cute and my only minor issue was no where to put toiletries in the bathroom. Everything else was great. There is really only one dinner option in Culross and Janette very wisely suggested I make a booking. Good food at the Red Lion and cask ales. I was able to easily get do the Red Lion and back using the bus, so I would enjoy the ales without worry. I also loved the convenient location to Culross palace and village. Well worth visiting!

We had a great stay at West Muirhouse. I wish we were able to stay longer, but it was our last night in Scotland. The house was quite roomy, bigger than I expected, plenty of room for our family of 5. It was very clean and quiet. Nicola left us food in the fridge for breakfast. The location is very close to the Edinburgh airport, but in a rural setting. Thanks for letting us stay at your house!

The cleanliness was good, the size of the room was good and the bathroom was very nice. Parking is free and is very near the hotel. The hotel had good installations, a nice restaurant, coffee and tea were offered in the room and it had everything that you could need inside.

Good budget accommodation with great price to comfort ratio. The rooms were a bit dated but quiet and clean. No private bathrooms. There were two nice and clean communal bathrooms available. The only other guests there were a very friendly Scottish couple. We were checked in by the same lady who runs the pub downstairs. She was super nice and accommodating, welcomed us like old friends. The local pub downstairs did not serve food but we were invited to bring in our own take-out. The lady even provided us with plates and silverware. We tried their local cider and beer. Delicious! Overall, it was a great experience. It felt like we were visiting our (Scottish❤️) family. We chose the Blackball for our last night in Scotland for the great price, free parking and proximity to the airport. it worked out great.

Everything was superb. Location could not have been better, the room was clean and comfortable and had all that we needed. The host Debbie was was fabulous and cooked us an amazing breakfast. Thank you so much for having us.

We opted for a breakfast hamper, which was great. Continental style breakfast for two days plus some snacks for o take with us when we went on outings. The B&B is close to shops and restaurants and has a fantastic view of the Forth and the Bridges.

The room was very quiet and comfortable and I got a great night's sleep, while the cooked breakfast was just the job and plenty of it. The cottage has a pleasant ambience and the hosts were cheerful and helpful. Clarke Cottage is a short distance from the motorway and East End Park, but I didn't venture into town so couldn't say how handy it is.
