It was a nice old traditional English pub, spacious and welcoming. Rooms nicely furnished. Great that we could just go down into the pub for our evening meal which also good. The breakfast was amazing.

The property is a bit remote down narrow country lanes, but that is the point isn’t it! Its a good centre for reaching the north coast of Devon and Somerset or North East Devon via the link road, or Exeter and the south. We have visited several times and the property is beautifully run, and in tip top condition. Breakfast is excellent and Linda and Ian are charming hosts.

We LOVED everything about this property! The room is even more beautiful and comfortable than the pictures suggest. Even the walkway to the room is lined with beautiful plants and woodwork. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was delivered in baskets to the front door in the morning. And the fact that dogs are welcomed is an added bonus:). But the best part of our stay was meeting Kate! She is a very warm, genuine and beautiful woman who seems to truly enjoy hosting guests in her lovely accommodations. Thank you Kate—we hope to return.
