With a stunning position on the banks of the River Exe in Bickleigh, and surrounded by beautiful Devonshire countryside, Fisherman’s Cot has free Wi-Fi throughout and free parking on site. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in stunning surroundings, friendly helpful staff, excellent service, excellent food. A very relaxing Birthday/ Fathers day present from my son. Enjoying a nice cold pint from the outside bar and a good meal on a hot June evening overlooking the river made it a very memorable occasion.

This was a great find conveniently located close to the town center. The manager was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The facilities were VERY clean and the rooms were spacious. Manager went above and beyond to sort us out some breakfast as we had set off very early in the morning before the cooked breakfast was served. I would definitely use again when visiting Tiverton.

One of Devon's most beautiful wedding venues and bed and breakfast breaks, this 14th century castle nestles in a valley surrounded by 30 acres of lush green land. This is an extraordinary destination. It's a castle with beautifully restored rooms. It is more of a quiet retreat than a place of activity. (Although there is a nice guided walk.) It's geared toward weddings, so you'll need to find dining options outside the hotel. Fortunately there is a fantastic pub called Cadeleigh Arms within a short drive. Owner gave us a history lesson of the castle, showed us its museum-quality artifacts, and let us into the adjacent ~AD 600 chapel. Very good value.

Originally dating back to the mid-1600s, Brambles Bed & Breakfast is a Grade II listed cottage in hidden and unspoiled Whitnage, a quiet rural hamlet less than 10 minutes' drive from Tiverton. Very clean. Very cosy. Good size room. Well furnished and equipped. Good value for the money. Would stay there again.

Rooms had lots of lovely useful extras like shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The chocolates and biscuits were a nice treat. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. Breakfast was superb, a great selection and again nothing was to much trouble 10/10

This is a great place to stay. Close to many interesting places. We visited the Jurassic Coast and some of the beaches. There appears to be plenty of public transport and our car was able to reach all the places we wanted to visit with no problems. We ate at our B&B but there were numerous eateries around. A visit to The Two Bridges Hotel for afternoon tea was lovely. Plenty of activities but we just went to relax.
Was here to visit friends in Exeter and Totnes,so used the hotel as a base....did not have enough spare time to go off exploring,l but will most certainly be back another time to do so.The Castle and Mill would be first, followed by one of the circular walks.. Also walking boots or wellies would be needed if I returned anytime soon.
Lovely place, Great Western Canal Horse Drawn Barge ride was relaxing and glad we did it. Local Museum well worth a visit, very interesting. Didn’t have long enough to visit the National Trust house and Tiverton Castle closed due to renovations, so could only see it from the outside. Local market a bit disappointing. Great Devon Cream Tea at Ellie-Mays.
some of the pubs and restaurants didn't allow dogs so had to walk a distance and found a lovely place called the Racehorse but they didn't serve food so that was a bit disappointing the town seemed a bit deserted but it was a Sunday
Tiverton is a lovely town shops are a nice selection it’s central for other local Devon villages and towns. Fisherman’s cot is out of town in Bickleigh where there are shops at the mill a castle and riverside walks.
Tiverton is a market town that still has a functioning high street. some of the old buildings are really nice to see. there is a castle, a museum and even a canal which was built halfway up a steep hill???? The River Exe runs through the town and there are some nice walks and even the odd pub to sit and watch the ducks. if you are in the area a day visit would be about right

This is a gem - exactly what we expected in terms of rooms - basic - as thats the price we paid. But honestly so clean it was a treat. The breakfast/bar/staff were so lovely we couldn't fault it. The position of this hotel is breathtaking. Big up for Anna who served us breakfast what a lovely host.

Access from the very close car park up the "back stairs" very handy. Nice shower. Good breakfast. Landlord very helpful. Close to Tesco. Great location for walking access to Tiverton and shops and restaurants - paper shop - chemist etc. Lanlords happy to put coffee on upon demand.
Amazing food and extremely friendly staff who really went out of their way to accommodate you. I really couldn't fault this hotel at all. The beds are so comfortable and the grounds are lovely. We will definitely be going back here again!
