Beautiful sanctuary from the hurry of the city. Wonderful ocean views and easy beach access. This is a tropical paradise. Easy access to local fish market, great place to see the dhows come in and out. Huts made of sustainable materials, yet all the modern conveniences you could want. The staff is super friendly, gentle souls, and helpful and feels like rafiki (friends). They serve breakfast right on your patio and have lunch and dinner options here. We had such good food that we would just ask Malik, the chef, to "surprise us." Jamal, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. He helped us arrange transportation to and from his lodge and has connections with tour companies to arrange any tour you might want to take.

While we’re not talking high end accommodations here, what I am saying is that I received great value for the price. Mohammed and staff went above and beyond in anticipating and meeting our needs. If you’re going to Zanzibar for an all-inclusive beach stay, this is the wrong venue. If you want a perfect location to experience the life and culture of Stone Town, then this is the absolutely best place for you. A truly unique adventure.

first of all, the location of this place is just perfect for people who wants to do everything by walk in town! then, the room and bathroom are ok, the wifi and AC were working very good but above all, the person who manages this place, Junior, is just an amazing person, kind and so helpful that it will make your stay the best! I even extend mine twice! thank you for everything Junior, I will definitely be back!

Balcony House is a wonderful place with wonderful people. The rooms rate from very simple up to A/C and ocean view so there will be something for everyone whether or not you’re travelling by yourself or in companionship. The owners are from Kopenhagen and Zanzibar which is the perfect style mix in interior. It has everything you need, is kept simple and open, but still welcoming and cosy. Especially the common spaces such as kitchen, terraces and the balcony are truly wonderful with lots of in and outside facilities to hang out and relax. It is very clean, the communication with the owners extremely reliable and quick even from afar, and it is in a perfect location with walking distance to everything in stone town including the ferry station. I would always come back and enjoyed my time a lot.

    The Villa is a jewel. it was saved and restored from a nature that was literally claiming and swallowing it back. The White Villa stands Out from its beautiful green garden but without being intrusive with nature. The garden and the Door Collection absolutely deserve a visit. the room was really well designed and furnished. you have really the feeling to be in a small bubble suspended out of time.
