The staff is very welcoming and helpful, English is understood by everyone. We cannot recommend enough this place.

We booked Japanese tradition room which has one king size bed and a tatami that can fit another 3, we are a family of 4 so it's very comfortable. You can eat or enjoy tea time on the tatami! The room was also very clean and staff are very friendly! Free self laundry is another bonus! 2 subway stations nearby and walking distance to Nishiki market. Easy transportation to tour Kyoto and even Arashiyama.

Guy at check in was very friendly..Clean and big room with separate sitting area tho I wished they would give a small dining area with chairs/ stools , would be easier to eat meals. Also no cups provided only glasses.
