The nature within and around the hotel is breathtaking. I took my wife here for our 1st year anniversary and the experience of seeing so much of nature and disconnecting from the outside world was incredible. The tour of the hotel premises, butterfly garden and nearby river was beyond great. Joel was an amazing guide. Our waiters Eduardo and Juan Orlando were fantastic, despite having very busy tables. The lodge "upgraded" us to a buffet breakfast on Sunday which was very kind of them. We had breakfasts at the hotel then one lunch and one dinner. The food quality was incredible for breakfasts, good for dinner and so so for our lunch. The hotel was also very kind in providing my wife a token of beautiful flowers and a Wisconsin King sized bed which was the largest I have ever seen or slept in.

We were passing through La Cieba on our way from Roatan to Mexico. Barbara's hospitality could not have been warmer. We thoroughly enjoyed having German beer and food in the tropics. If you're using the airport, this is definitely the place to stay.

John and Soledad, the owners and hosts of this property, are incredibly kind, welcoming, hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. John helped us book 2 incredible day trips (one hike and one rafting expedition) despite it being Christmas Day. The property is absolutely beautiful, and John and Soledad are very detailed ensuring you have everything you need and more (we had lovely fresh flowers provided in the room). You feel immersed in nature and wake up to the sounds of the river and birds chirping. Rooms were clean and with plenty of space. The breakfast was very fresh and delicious.
