I booked two days at Casa Mathea as a present for my parents. They were so happy to stay here and spend few days in Taormina. Casa Mathea is beautiful, with an amazing view, clean, and staff is excellent and very welcoming. Breakfast is a special moment were you can enjoy Sicilian flavour and romantic landscape. Absolutely stunning property. AC in each room, poolside was spacious and got sun and shade at all different times of the day. Multiple places for meals around the garden and inside. Beds were in great condition as well - firm mattresses and lots of pillow options. We had access to all types of utensils and crockery needed, a washing machine even! Giovanna and Mario were the most hospitable and kind hosts we have ever experienced. They were thoughtful, always responded instantly to any enquires, and gave some amazing recommendations for restaurants / taxi companies etc. Giovanna is a very kind soul, and really went out of her way to make our holiday retreat the sublime experience it was.

I loved the hosts. They could not be more accommodating. We were back packing across Italy and so had no vehicle and they picked us up from the station and even on other days dropped us off in the middle of Taormina. On our last day they came and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. The house is absolutely idealic with the full run of a beautifully redecorated house. Its in a beautiful location high in the mountains with beautiful views of the the main city and sea and harbour and mountains. For us it was absolute heaven. Exactly the type of place to be on a holiday where you can be away from the crowd but not too far from the beach or neighbouring town. They have plans to build a swimming pool which will make it even more better as the location is superb (if you have transport).

Everything was great. Only few minutes by car from Taorimna center but it's peaceful and quiet . Very well equipped (even snacks and fruits for guests) and spacious. No problem with parking.
