Easy communication with the host before arrival. Property is easy to find and well located for the network of footpaths in the area. Bed extremely comfortable, a quiet location and well-equipped house. The temperature was warm and comfortable.

The place is fabulous, as is the hostess. Everything was comfortable, and extravagantly so. The multi-talented hostess prepared and served us an outstanding breakfast. Most importantly, she is a people person who takes great interest in her guests, and also a highly accomplished artist and restorer of antiques. She has fully restored the historic house into a villa which is lavishly furnished and decorated with her pastels and paintings as well as her restored antiques.

The breakfast spread was equally impressive, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. A highlight of our stay was the warm welcome from Bianca and Nero, Maria's two beautiful dogs. The location was a nice old and well-maintained country estate, with comfortable rooms with thick stone walls and it felt cozy and warm like a castle. The breakfast was a nice buffet spread with European-style and American-style foods (hot and cold foods). You definitely need a car to get here, but there was easy parking and some grounds to walk around and explore. In summer I think it would have been even more beautiful.
