Check in was very, very easy. The room was clean, the AC worked very well, which is not always the case in hotels in Japan, breakfast was easy to get, and we loved the soba and tempura from Nonowa.

The apartment has 3 floors and is very spacious, clean, and convenient to train stations and supermarkets; it is also within a walking distance to Shinjuku and Nakano alleys/“broadway” where many restaurants are located. The kitchen has the required necessities for cooking. The owner is responsive to text and kind. Just FYI: 1. The washer does not have a dryer function but washed clothes can be hung on the balcony outside one of the bedrooms on the third floor for quick drying. 2. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area (plus for us) and the owner provides a clear instruction to reach the apartment.

I traveled here with 2 family members and this is what we liked about our stay: -The location is very quiet and convenient. A 5 min walk from Koenji station, which is 1 station away from Nakano, and a few stops away from Shinjuku. It's a great place to be close to the busy parts of Tokyo, but not actually be in it when it's time to wind down. -The bedrooms all have AC/Heater units and the beds are very comfortable. -There are 2 toilets, which are both separate from the shower room. -The kitchen is large and comes with all the cutlery, appliances, and plates you could need. -There's a washing machine -There's 2 7/11 convenience stores very very close by, like a 1 minute walk in either direction. -We enjoyed going to the grocery store in town, it's cheaper than the convenience stores and has more options for snacks and breakfast foods. Overall I think this is a great place to stay if you're traveling with a group. The hosts did a good job with communication and made sure we had everything when we arrived.

The apartment is new (as of 2025) and modern. We stayed for a week in the first floor unit and returned later for a four-day stay in the third floor apartment. The location was quite good; a quiet, safe, and clean neighborhood close to the subway with nearby convenience and grocery stores and small restaurants. The English language home and appliance guides were exceptionally clear and easy to understand, wi-fi coverage was excellent and the amenities such as electronic device charging cords were thoughtful additions. The washing machine and clothes drying function in the fairly roomy (even for me at 6’4”) shower/bath combo room were convenient with plenty of extra hangers and a clever folding drying rack for small items.
