What a lovely experience staying at this beautiful inn surrounded by nature. The new owners showed so much care and pride for their property and we loved interacting with them, the friendly staff and other guests, which we enjoyed so much. If you prefer lots of privacy, your own space and spectacular views, go for the chalets on the hilltop, they overlook mountains and rivers. They have just been repainted. Sitting on the stunning porch, with a choice of chairs or comfy sofas, enjoying the hummingbirds fly to the feeders was such a highlight especially during breakfast, which was of fantastic quality and choice. On colder days, there is a cozy lounge for relaxing if you wish. We found the location so convenient for exploring Cape Breton as well as the Bras D’Or lakes. Located just off the Cabot Trail, and offers an views of the ocean. The cabin features a kitchenette and a lush garden. The location was wonderful, could sit on the porch with a view of the ocean. Good kitchen facility.

The host reached out via email and was always available if needed, though we never had to ask for anything because the amenities were outstanding. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches – from coffee, dips, and basic essentials already provided, to the wonderful welcome gift waiting for us. It truly made us feel at home right away. We had a great time and the location was excellent to explore Cape Breton, the Cabot Trail and go for a whale watching Trip. We wished, we could have stayed longer than two nights.

We have both worked in the hospitality industry and were so impressed by how much thought was put into designing & stocking the property with the guests’ comfort-and the environment-in mind. We highly recommend The Snuggy & will stay again when we’re visiting Ingonish & the Cabot Trail.
