After really disappointing hotels in Cairo and Luxor in the same range, this one really exceeded my expectations. It’s on an island, but don’t worry, it’s really easy and cheap to get across with a public ferry for 15-20 egp during daytime hours, and even during the night, when the price is 75-100 egp because they transport only you. The staff is really nice, the garden fabolous and smell so nice, the rooms are super clean (cleaning lady will empty your trash and make your bed every day), you get all the toiletaries and two towels, even complimentary peanuts awaits you in the room. In the main hall, they have a fridge with water and sodas you can buy for a regular price, and you can also use that fridge for you own food. It's super quiet since there is no traffic on the island. Having a quiet room is something you really need when you travel around Egypt.

The owner was super friendly and made us a good breakfast served on the roof. The entrance is not maintained but once you're inside everything is clean and colorful.

When we arrived at the ferry dock in Aswan, we were greeted by Ebrahim, the boatman from the guest house. He & his friends/relatives helped to carry our luggages down the stairs to the boat. The boat ride to the guest house was absolutely breathtaking, we were so glad we decided to stay on Elephantine Island. Once we arrived at the guest house, one of the hosts, Omar, invited us to the rooftop to have our welcome drinks. So we sipped our hibiscus tea while enjoying the beautiful view of the Nile River during sunset, it was so serene. We had dinner & breakfast the next day on the rooftop as well, Abu Nasser is an amazing chef! Omar & Abu Nasser were very warm & welcoming, we felt at home right away. The location of the guest house is on the quieter side of Elephantine Island, facing the Aga Khan Mausoleum across the river, it felt very peaceful. There are no cars, tuk-tuks or motorcycles on Elephantine Island, so we walked everywhere, to the ferry dock & to the restaurants. It was honestly a very enjoyable walk because we got to see how some of the locals lived. Our rooms were clean & nicely decorated, each room had the view of the Nile River. The shower pressure & the WIFI were good.

Nala Narty was the PERFECT option. Calm, clean, aesthetic, organic food, hippie chic vibe in an island of Aswan near the Nubian village! What else would you ask for? Ah YES! Sherif's dogs, absolutely adorable! Please do not doubt to book this place! You won't regret it ❤️

If you are traveling on your own in Egypt and you need to recharge and see a different culture, the moment you put your foot on the Nubian land "on the other side of bank of Nile", you're good...more than good. You're in a true peacefull Oasis. Spacious super clean Nubian Room, beautifully carved wooden wardrobes and beds with perfect mattrass, delicious breakfast on the roof, fast wifi, welcome refreshing hibiscus tea... And the sweetest host Mahmoud who will make everything possible to make you feel at home. Thanks to bring joy to our hearts, we will come again.

The place is amazing and clean, and the view is breathtaking. Mohammed and Mostafa are very kind, generous, and genuine people. They helped us with everything from Flueca rides, money exchange, and routes. This is from now on my goto for whenever i come to Aswan.

The staff were very kind and nice, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The accomodation started with boat and endded with boat, from and to the west bank of Aswan. Just wanted to thank them for the unforgettable memories in elephantine island.

Dolty Kato Nubian House is vibrant, colorful, and genuinely beautiful and the décor and ambience are a big part of what attracted us, and it fully lived up to expectations. We stayed as a family (me, my wife, and our 6-year-old) and the staff were consistently helpful and courteous. A special mention to Ms. Somaya for how she handled our arrival day. Our flight from Cairo was delayed by around 2.5 hours, which clashed with a planned guided tour. We arrived tired and with a hungry child, and I was struggling to coordinate with the tour operator and decide what to order. Somaya quickly contacted the operator, explained our situation in Arabic, and helped us order the right dishes and managed the whole situation calmly and efficiently, and it genuinely saved our day (A big shout out!!) The room was very clean and comfortable, service was spot on, and the restaurant views are excellent. Dinner was a highlight—eating on the banks of the Nile with truly delicious food and unique flavors was memorable (milder on spice compared to an Indian palate, but still fantastic). The hotel also offers tours and activities that looked well-priced, though we had already pre-booked ours.
