The place was super clean, furbished with great taste, and close to everything (seaside, castle, shops, you name it). A massive plus for the bathroom, which is an absolute « bijou ». The best thing about The Arran though is probably its manager, Angus. He is the best host we’ve had in our 10-day trip across Scotland (and we’ve had great hosts!). He is smart, caring, entertaining, helpful and will give you great suggestions if you just ask him!

The place had a cozy, stylish, and modern vibe—something between a hotel and an apartment, with a unique two-floor room layout that made it feel extra special. The location was excellent, within walking distance to shops, sightseeing spots, and everything you’d want to explore. The staff were incredibly kind and responsive, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. There were lots of fun and thoughtful extras, like an acoustic guitar, a vinyl player with a Bluetooth speaker, and even a “shower beer” compartment (for an extra charge). We also really enjoyed the beer keg in the room—£40 well spent! The breakfast was rich and delicious, and overall the stay felt like great value for money. Little touches made it even more memorable, like playing rock-paper-scissors with the bartender to win a dessert, and getting a beer token for reusing towels to help save the environment. Loved it!

The house is lovely and clean. I loved all the single details in my room. The dogs gave me an incredible welcome. Tee, Coffee, fridge, tv, and cookies in the room.
