Had dinners there and enjoyed it so much.

It’s a very traditional Japanese style, startup at 1899 which has over 125 years history. The interior was revamped, we enjoy the peaceful and friendly service from the staffs. Hotel’s location is excellent, next to the entrance of the Nara Park. They also offer a traditional Japanese Mocha Tea, in a tea room as a welcome drink, we love it very much. You can request in room massage service, there are 40mins / 60mins two options. The price is reasonable.

Most friendly and helpful host. The house is traditional Japanese style and gives a very homely feeling. It’s walking distance from the station and very calm place. Definitely recommend.

This was a very nice change from the urban hotels during our travels around Japan. The proprietress is very charming and the breakfast prepared for us was very intricate with many Japanese foods. Sleeping and bathing traditional Japanese style is also something worth experiencing. To get there from Nara, take the train from Kintetsu Nara to Ikoma station where you can take the tramway up. You can just as quickly reach Ikoma station from Osaka. We visited in September and the last tram up was at 11pm. There was a restaurant open near the ryokan until 10pm (Indonesian). And if you are able to do some stairs, I highly recommend a visit in the morning to the temple complex above the ryokan. Keep following the steps above the first temples and you will find yourself on a truly magical path.

The rooms are spacious and well decorated. Everything is being thought of. Lots of amenities and we like the free drinks and snacks. The location is close to Nara station. The bath tub is the showstopper and so big! We stayed on a Tuesday so it’s pity that we could not go to the restaurant as I heard many good things.

The hosts were wonderful. We are very thankful to them for letting us store our luggage after our checkout for a couple of hours and they offered to drop us to the bus station aswelll. They are very kind. They have two goats aswell called ponyo and peo.

Gojo is a nice little town surrounded by nature and all facilities you might need. We had our own little rental car making it easy to get around. When you have to rely on public transportation your options are more limited. Property itself was very nice with nice facilities and all taken care of wonderfully by Miyuki.
