The breakfast at the hotel was the best one we had during our stay in Mexico and we went quite a few places. We tried the restaurant at dinner as well and it was very good. The location was perfect as it is quite central and less than a 10 min walk to the central plaza. Much like most first-time tourists in Mexico, initially we thought we would only use Uber for safety reasons but we felt very safe and walked at all times of the day (and night). In the evening the area has people around but it's not noisy. Honestly, this was the best value-for-money booking I've had in a long time. Three of the four rooms we booked were enormous and the queen size beds were incredibly comfortable.

Located less than 5 minutes’ walk from Palacio de Iturbide Museum and Torre Latino, Hotel Histórico Central offers Colonial-style architecture and free WiFi connection in all areas. The hotel was comfortable, the location was excellent for exploring the historic district of Mexico City, breakfast was good, and there was a 24 hour cafe available. Transportation (which is extra) was great to and from the airport.

This 5-star hotel is located in the Zocalo, the main plaza at the city centre in Mexico City. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We arranged taxi transportation through the hotel, which made everything very easy and stress-free. The hotel is located on a lively, vibrant street, and the presence of guards outside made us feel very safe at all times. We had booked a food tour, so unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy breakfast the next morning. Instead, we had dinner on the terrace, which was a wonderful experience. The following day, we went on a tour to Tolantongo, and the amazing staff were kind enough to lend us towels—something we truly appreciated. We were also able to leave our luggage at the hotel and returned around 8 p.m. Despite heavy traffic and several street closures due to a show, the staff helped direct us to a street where Ubers were allowed. One of the guards even walked all the way to the taxi with us, which made us feel incredibly safe. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you to the wonderful team at Gran Hotel Ciudad de México! The location couldn’t be better as it’s just a few steps from Lincoln Park and Masaryk, surrounded with cafés, restaurants, and shops , and I always felt super safe walking around. The house itself is gorgeous, recently renovated, and everything in the room (furniture, sheets, etc.) felt brand new. Such a comfortable and charming place to stay in Mexico City!
