We could see the sea from our bed and terrace, with flowers all around. The staff were very polite and always smiling. The beach is just a 3-minute walk away, and the restaurant there serves delicious food. Everything was so amazing 🥰"

Perfect and very peaceful location between Visby and Fåro. Amazing breakfast with everything you need. The hosts are incredibly warm and kind, who will make you feel at home. Some outside games you can play was a plus. We even got to see a hedgehog at night sneaking around by luck.

For us Strandakar made for an ideal home base for exploring the island’s many treasures. Our hosts Charlotte and Lars were the perfect guides in helping us make the most of our days. Breakfasts and dinners were both beautifully prepared and delicious. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. For all of Strandakar’s charms and beauty, it is the hosts are the magic that makes this place special and one to return to again. Thank you for making our stay so lovely.

Maven Kustnära Stugor cottages are situated in the woods just 300 metres from the Baltic Sea, about 1 km from Kappelshamn in northern Gotland. Very nice place, beautiful location, nice people.

This family-owned hotel in Visby’s attractive Almedalen Park is 30 metres from the Baltic Sea. It offers free Wi-Fi, along with tastefully and individually decorated rooms. I booked this hotel for my wife's birthday after being referred to it by Swedish friends as the best place to stay in Gotland. It exceeded all my expectations - wonderful location, just the most incredible decor and ambience. The entire hotel is like an artwork, carefully put together and so beautiful. We even had a welcome surpise for my wife's birthday which made her day - honestly, this place should be on your bucket list to stay when in Sweden

This charming, eco-friendly hotel is just inside Visby’s medieval city walls, 350 metres from Stora Torget square. It offers 2 furnished courtyards, free Wi-Fi and cosy, individually designed rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was both tasty and beautifully laid out. We had to leave very early to catch the ferry so we couldn't have breakfast on the day we left, but the hotel gave us vouchers for breakfast on the ferry back to Oskarshamn, and that was really nice. Best of all the beds were comfortable.

Unbeatable location in the heart of old town with views to match. Literally every window (and there are many) you look out of has a gorgeous view of the town or old ruins. The apartment is also spacious with multiple beds. The communication was also clear, quick, and friendly. No better value in the town. Can’t recommend this spot enough as the perfect base to explore Visby from.
