JapanThe hospitality was absolutely amazing, from activity recommendations to the little extras, we felt very welcome by everyone. We mixed eating out with cooking dinner in the room, enjoying sunsets on the deck. At night, the sky deck and outdoor bath also made for a perfect end to the evenings--talking, talking, talking while looking out at the ocean and the Milky Way.

The owner, Yuko was very helpful and spoke very good English. Our chalet was cleaned, fresh towels given and rubbish cleared on daily basis. The outdoor bath and hammock feature exceptional sea views. Beds were extremely comfortable. The food was amongst the best we had in Japan, each meal was truly exceptional. The owners are kind and caring, and can offer excellent advice about sightseeing and hikes. Renting a car is a necessity to reach this hotel, but is also highly recommended as the best way to explore Yakushima.Guest review byOliverYoung couple
