Beautiful property in the middle of an authentic mayan town . Lots of nature tropical plants, flowers, and a huge swimming pool, which is a heart of this place. Rooms are big, and our bathrooms were like indoors out door vibe with a stone wall . This place has everything you can buy your drinks around the corner and rooms have a mini fridge and . The decorations are elegant yet practical . We did the reservation last moment and were hesitant as it was away from Bacalar centro, but it's close to the laguna de bacalar just 5 mins walk from casa cactus. This part if lagoon its not touristy, so it feels private relaxing . You can see stars at night . We ended up extending our stay as it was the best stay in 1 month of the trip Mexico. The bed was huge and comfortable . Staff were kind of knowledgeable . Visit the ruin nearby . Breakfast was as per order, which was personal and delicious. We will be back. You come here to relax, walk around and sleep good

Beautiful sunset and loved kayaking on the lake. The staff were nice. Accomodating with my late check out, and the pizza was great. A little far from downtown but just depends what you need. I would stay again!

We loved our stay at Azul- everything from the tact and friendliness of the staff and owners, to the delicious breakfast and the location and views were fantastic! We really appreciated the small extra touches that make a big difference, like the free hat for guests, the cozy library in the kitchen that felt like a piece of my own home, and having drinking water available in the room. I couldn't believe the kitchen staff remembered exactly which fruits I wanted on my oatmeal after having asked for it once. Truly impeccable service and attention to detail. Will come back a hundred times.
