I had a wonderful stay in Zhangjiajie! The location was absolutely perfect, offering a clear and stunning view of Tianmen Mountain. The room itself was beautiful, well-appointed, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. The hosts were incredibly kind and generous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! The location was not only quiet and peaceful, overlooking a beautiful landscape, but also very convenient. It was just a short distance from the Tianmen Mountain cable car, making it easy to explore the area. The airport and train station were also easily accessible, which made travelling to and from the property very simple. It’s the perfect balance of tranquillity and convenience. Our hosts, David and his wife, were exceptionally kind and generous. They made us feel truly welcome from the start and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even shared their Autumn Festival celebration with us, prepared a lovely breakfast, and thoughtfully arranged a taxi for our departure. Their home was beautiful, and their warm hospitality made the entire stay incredibly pleasant, leaving us with wonderful and lasting memories.

This homestay is absolutely fantastic. The host arranged our airport pickup in advance and provided complimentary shuttle service to the Forest Park every day, which only takes about 5 minutes. Of course, we did our homework beforehand, but the park is so vast that it’s essential to follow the host’s advice. We’re so glad we listened to her from the start and didn’t book any tickets online ourselves—there are multiple entrances and reservations required, but Long Jing took care of everything for us in advance. Thanks to her well-planned itinerary, we experienced the unique charm of Zhangjiajie, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Plus, with her thoughtful arrangements, we avoided all the queues. The rooms are impeccably clean, and breakfast and dinner are different every day. You must try the Chinese dinners here—they’re a real treat. The WiFi signal is excellent. Long Jing explained that to ensure strong connectivity and fast speeds, each room and area has its own dedicated WiFi network, though all share the same password. At first, my friend thought the signal was weak while dining downstairs, but it turned out we simply hadn’t connected to the WiFi properly. On clear afternoons, you can even spot little monkeys on the mountainside right across from the homestay. Just remember to keep the door to the second-floor common area tightly closed—unless you’re up for a playful visit from these little creatures! Trust me, if you’re looking for the homestay closest to the forest in Zhangjiajie, this is undoubtedly your best choice.
