Kele Yala is a boutique hotel situated in the dry zone in Kataragama. Very clean rooms! The pool was amazing and the staff was so friendly.

You need to walk a bit if you want to swim, but I consider this even as a feature. Lagoon with mangrove trees is nearby so you can rent a kayak and diverse your stay, Tangalle itself has snorkling places, turtles are also here so all pleasures at your service. Delicious food, positive vibes -- we came for 2 nights and ended up staying for a week so what else to say?)

The breakfast was wonderful, including fresh mango, pineapple and papaya from the lush garden. Rohan also brought us tea in the afternoon both days. The bed was super comfortable, with lovely bedding. A 15-minute walk or quick tuktuk to some of the most incredible quiet beaches I've ever seen. Would definitely recommend.

We had an excellent stay at Garnet Yala Beach. The property is very comfortable and inviting, the room is spacious and clean, and the adjacent kitchen is well equipped. The garden is bustling with greenery and cute animals that keep their distance but are fun to observe (iguanas, squirrels, birds). There is direct access to a dreamy beach you can enjoy pretty much on your own except for the occasional tourist, fisherman or friendly stray dog. A fancy restaurant with a pool is right next door. Gayan and his wife are fantastic hosts, very caring, attentive and generous, and complete the great experience.

The room was very clean and big, with AC. Near to Yala national park. Very quiet at night, with a nice atmosphere and good options to have dinner by walk. The host, Malinga, was very kind: ready to counsel us and take us to great places. He offers a taxi service, so is a good option to go there from your previous location or go with him to your next destination in your trip.
