This place was absolutely outstanding!! Not only by far the best place I stayed in Madeira but one of the best I've stayed in the world!! I booked this place as a chill out space for near the end of my trip to Madeira as I knew I would be hiking a lot (I was) and I would need a place to relax and recover. Well this was that and more. Joao messaged me to ask what time I would arrive and when I did I parked my car and he met me. Joao is a gentleman, a very nice guy and you can see he has put a lot of love into this project. I also appreciate that he met me and chatted to me and gave some tips on where to go for food and sightseeing. The apartment itself was just amazing. It's so well decorated, with floor to ceiling glass doors and windows on one side and it lets in so much light. There was complimentary wine, a nice big TV for watching movies in the evening, the bed was fantastic, and waking up to that view everyday was a great mood lifter. Both evenings I sat on the balcony to watch the sunset over the ocean with a glass of wine and it was so so nice. This is what holidays are all about, proper relaxation. There is a nice little bar/cafe only 1 min walk away which also has a great view of the sunset too and less than a 5 min drive away there is a few nice restaurants and a shop. I had high expectations of this place and it massively exceeded even them. I highly highly recommend this place and hopefully I may stay here again if it isn't booked out. One of the highlights of my trip and one of the best places I have ever stayed anywhere.

Cosy authentic house with a garden, large terrace with a fireplace, their own wine cellar. The house fitted a family of 5, and we had everything we needed. A great feature of this house is heating in every room, which is mot always the case in traditional houses like this. We were very comfortable during colder rainy days. The hosts made us very welcome with sweets,wine, and basic products in the fridge. Regina was quick to respond to any questions we had. The view to the valley and mountains is breathtaking! Perhaps the only thing to keep in mind - if you are a light sleeper, strong winds and rain at night will wake you up ( we stayed in January).

Location was excellent for our needs, away from any crowds and in a peaceful area but within a reasonable and pleasant walk along the promenade to local town with good restaurants and bars. The space and facilities within the property were excellent, kitchen had everything we could possibly need, bed extremely comfortable and a really good and luxurious shower and separate bath. The pool and outdoor spaces were perfect with sun on the property for the majority of the day until early evening. The entire place was really clean and attractive and well kept gardens an added bonus. Our host, Richard, was extremely helpful and approachable and responded to any queries promptly. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again should we return to Madeira.
